I would not stay here again
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Columbia SE Fort JacksonCheck-in was great. Vinnie at the desk was efficient and most helpful. The hotel itself is not in good condition. Remodeling seems to have started but never finished. Floor tiles are missing, doors are boarded up. Our shower and toilet leaked, and shower hardly drained. The AC units are deafening loud. Parking lot is behind the building and dirty. Someone used a charcoal grill in the far right corner and old food is dumped. Some glass in spots where we tried to walk the dogs. Saturday morning breakfast didn’t come out as scheduled so we left and went to DD across the street and started our long drive. This was the worst La Quinta we have stayed at in 7 stays. Shameful condition.

Seen better days
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Richmond SouthWorn a bit. Not sure what it was before a La Quinta, but they put “lipstick on the pig” and gave it a nice lobby. The rooms are showing their age. The in-room refrigerator was almost as noisy as the AC unit. Staff was seldom at the front desk. Room was clean. Easy access from I-95. It worked well enough for us and our dogs. Pam Ave is a good place to take a neighborhood walk; there’s a small park with a Civil War memorial at the site of Fort Stevens. Pretty cool.
