Good option for Fido
Coyote SouthWe found the staff friendly and the hotel adequate plus there are sidewalks around where you can walk the dogs. For human companions it's a bit less great -- really loud AC, the breakfast not so great (even the much touted burrito), and the neighborhood full of traffic. We asked for a quiet location on the "dog floor" and were located down the hall away from reception which worked well.
Great hotel
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Deming Mimbres Valley an IHG HotelHotel for humans was great (except see food below). Spacious, new, clean. The dog relief area is, well, depressing. Small fenced-in dirt area. Not where I want to take my dogs, so I walked them around the hotel which is fine except there are spiky prickers in the bushes everywhere in this part of the world so you have to be very careful. Also absolutely no food walking distance. I went to the "bar" at the Comfort Inn a few blocks away for a sandwich, but the hotel is far from the main "downtown" so expect to drive in the very dark and not easy to figure out road that leads to the hotel.
New modern hotel
Baymont by Wyndham ColumbusThis is a very modern hotel and rooms nice. Carpeting throughout which is not best for dog rooms. Outside there are very few areas to relieve Fido which is why I gave it 4 bones. No doggie stations.
Nice but pet floor not great
La Quinta by Wyndham MobileClean hotel until you get to 3rd (pet) floor and the hallway looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Service is poor. Some grassy areas around the property to relieve Fido -- fine for a day but the main relief area is not well maintained (pet owners more than hotel owners are to fault mostly), so you don't want to stay more than you have to.
Loud and not a suite
La Quinta by Wyndham FlagstaffDisappointed. Expected a suite and got a small room with warmish fridge and no freezer. Lots of slamming doors. Dogs passing by for hours and out door. We got this last moment so grateful but would not return.
