Love love love!!!

Flight Deck Brewing

This is a great place to go, with or without your pup, but please take your pup! Indoor and outdoor seating available and well behaved leashed dogs are allowed everywhere on the property. Outside there's an area with picnic tables and a fire pit, and also a small wooded area with huts that you can reserve. My dog can be reactive to other dogs so we reserved a hut, it was large enough for a picnic table but small enough to be cozy. On the picnic table was a personal sized propane heater to ward away a chilly evening. Inside the main building is a bar area and additional seating, the night we were there they had live music. There's also a freestanding building where they make wood-fired pizza. The beer, pizza, and atmosphere were all great, will definitely return.

Dated but sufficient

Hampton Inn Portland Airport

Pros: super pet friendly and good location. Cons: rooms are dated and look dirty. Ok the room wasn't actually dirty, but it was old and dated enough that it looked dingy and dirty. Bathtub needed to be re-grouted so just looked disgusting even though it was clean. Staff is very friendly and greeted my pup with treats at check-in. I probably would stay there again because it's hard to find a pit bull friendly hotel, but it could use some upgrading.

Great atmosphere and a doggy menu!

Virtue Feed & Grain

Lovely historic building near the waterfront in Old Town, nice menu with locally sourced food and a doggy menu too. Stopped in with my pup on the weekend and didn't have to wait long for an outdoor table. The waitress came by as soon as we were seated and brought a doggy bowl and fresh water for my pupper along with both a human and doggy menu. The human food was yummy and Ruby scarfed down her doggy food without any complains. Would definitely stop in again.

Very nice hotel & super dog friendly

Embassy Suites by Hilton Alexandria Old Town

Really enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites Old Town. Staff and other guests were all very friendly to our pup, dogs are allowed in all of the common areas except for where food is served. There is an outdoor dining area at the hotel's restaurant where dogs are allowed and Old Town Alexandria has lots of businesses and restaurants where dogs are welcome. The only reason I'm not giving 5 bones is that there isn't a doggy potty area immediately outside the hotel entrances. There are a number of grassy areas and pocket parks within a block's walking distance, but for a pup that's used to going potty as soon as she's outside we discovered she wasn't able to hold it for us to reach a grassy area and she ended up going potty on the sidewalk right outside the hotel doors a few times (typically I wouldn't let her potty on the sidewalk but after holding it as we walked through the hotel to get outside there wasn't much I could do). This was our first time traveling with a dog and it was a great experience, would definitely stay here again.
