There was no grand greeting for our pup, however they did have us fill out an extensive pet contract and had us pay the pet fee right away. The pet walking area is attractive and has bags, disposal and hand sanitizer. The particular room that we had was on the first floor and had an extended layout which was handy for the pup and for us. The only drawback is that though it is in a wooded and nice area, it is also very close to route 283 and to the off ramp to get to the hotel. This provided much more noise at all times of the day and night than we are used to. Even an electronic sound machine could not overcome the volume. Nice place off the beaten path with good pet facilities. Clean facilities and very good breakfast.

This was our second time staying here. I would give pet friendly a 5. I would give Isaac a 5. I am not sure if the hotel system was having a bad day last night, but it sure was aggravating. The cost of our one night stay was not inexpensive and this is not a prime time. We arrived around 5 after picking up takeout. The reception by Isaac was great. We were given room 404. As we approached the door and used the key the lock opened and we were greeted by someone who was in there already.
We backed away and left our stuff by the elevator with one of us watching it. We went back to the front desk and they issued a new room. Down we went to room 202. The room 202 keys did not work. Back down to the front desk. This time Isaac made new key cards and went up himself to make sure they worked. We were finally in a vacant room. With the experience of staying there twice, we have noticed that it is not as clean in the hotel as it could be. It is also loud, as it is by a very busy road and there are no sound deadening carpets or floor coverings so you tend to hear your neighbors. Location remains good value for the price.

The hotel is modern and clean. Breakfast was good and included hot items like scrambled eggs and French toast sticks and kielbasa coins. The location is on a busy street, there is limited green space but adequate. Location near to Exeter Center is convenient for interesting restaurants.

The hotel is set on a river with and a rock bed and back yard that has lot of green grass for the dogs and people to explore and relax. The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and well kept up.

It has been many years since returning to Vermont. I had stayed at this hotel many years ago and they have made it even better. The rooms were comfortable and welcoming for my wife and I and our pup. The staff handled a parking situation with grace and ingenuity as we were headed out of the town. Hearty thanks to Michael, our hero. I would definitely recommend this hotel when you are visiting the Burlington area with your pup.

Our little dorkie wanted a getaway in the Portsmouth NH area so we tried the Port Inn for two nights. It is winter time so the motel did not resemble the alluring pictures with the pool. We stayed in room 112 which was right next to the well appointed reception area. Each room is accessed from the outside (like the old days) and we seemed to have the only room in the front building that used a traditional key. The other rooms appeared to use key cards. The lock served its purpose and there was a chain but no deadbolt. The room was clean and had enough room for the three of us, some parts of the room showed wear more than others and parking was a little tight in front of the building.
The motel is located very close to Route 1 bypass so we experienced a great deal of rood noise. Our doxie is a fantastic alerter so any noises he heard yielded a bark or two. Would suggest to keep this in mind if your dog alerts and is protective. There appeared to be a building in the back farther from the road, this might be an option to reduce the road sounds. The breakfast was good and each staff person we encountered was engaging, helpful and dog friendly.

I guess we are still looking for that place that is pet friendly and welcoming. Saying that, this hotel is dog accepting. The location is very near conveniences like food and gasoline and shopping. Just down the road is the very cool location of Lititz with a quaint village feel. It is also in the Pennsylvania Dutch area with all that it has to offer. About the hotel: We were located near the end of a first floor hallway which was excellent as it gave access to an outside door that was well lighted for nighttime. There were patches of grass for our pup to use. The staff was ok, if you are staying with a dog it would be nice to have a treat, description of where the pet relief area might be or other special touches for the extra dollars charged. Our pup enjoyed the room except for the large full length mirror that made him wonder why there was another dog here with his family. We will stay here again, it is just not out of the ordinary.
