Nice rustic country theme
Stoney Creek Hotel ColumbiaFriendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and neat. Enjoyed our stay. Plenty of clean grass space around parking to walk our dog. Breakfast area had lots of food choices and comfy seating.
Needs a lot of work
Baymont by Wyndham LimonWe tried, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Friendly staff (the one I saw), but found ALL the exterior doors propped open when we we went up to our room. Lights did not work in the staircase. When we arrived at our room it STUNK. Not sure of what: possibly new carpet smell mixed with something wet? Couldn’t open the windows to air it out. Pool and hot-tub were closed, vending and ice out of order. Fortunately right next door was a Microtel (both are Wyndham properties). They had a room available so we moved. Good experience there. In their defense, I’m pretty sure they were going through a remodel. But in this case they should have just been closed and gotten the work done.
Nice place!
Moe's Original BBQThey have an outside area with seating for about 10 groups. Good shade and great food!
Nothing to rave about
Best Western Plus Midwest Inn & SuitesWe understood there had been quite a bit of rain recently, however the lawn looked like it hadn’t been mowed all summer (tick haven?) and there was branches and debris scattered throughout the dog walk area. The floors in the room felt damp and there was a musty smell to the room. Staff was friendly and otherwise the room was clean. Front desk left a note to the manager about the dog area.
Great Place To Stay
Tru by Hilton North PlatteVery dog friendly location. Nice staff and amenities.
Great Food, Location and Staff.
Babcock's Grove HouseVery Friendly Staff and Good Food. Great atmosphere sitting outside along Park Ave in Lombard on a Spring Afternoon. Close to the train station (but not too close). Reasonable Prices. We enjoyed our meal and our dog enjoyed her water.
