The inn’s location is fantastic, and it was great to step right onto the beach first thing in the morning. We appreciated being allowed to use the beach and pool before check-in, and the pool area looked nice. The bed was comfortable, but unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. It had a strong ammonia odor throughout our stay, and the furniture was worn. There was a broken TV mounted on the wall that hadn’t been removed and an exposed breaker box that could have been easily covered with a picture. The outdoor seating outside our room consisted of cheap, dirty-looking plastic chairs, unlike the newer, nicer chairs other rooms had.

I also assumed that booking an oceanfront room meant it would include a balcony, but it did not. It would be helpful if the rooms were clearly listed as “with balcony” or “without balcony” to avoid confusion.

Overall, while the location and amenities were nice, the condition of the room was disappointing, and we likely won’t be returning to Lotus Boutique Inn & Suites.
