Hip coffee shop. Pets are allowed inside - surprise! and an outdoor “petio” is also available.
Atmosphere is warm and cozy. A lounge area for sipping and visiting - lots of tables for studying or playing games (many board games provided by cafe). Coffee menu is extensive with seasonal favorites (iced pumpkin chai - yum). Food menu is limited - at least later in the day - but they had me at crepes! Dessert crepes that is, even a pup cup with peanut butter and whip cream was offered. As out-of-towners, having this establishment listed on the Bring Fido app helped us find it! We will visit again when passing through 😊🐾

The picture associated with this post is NOT the location on Walnut. Based on the picture and the menu from their website which they direct you to when you tap the DesMoines location, we thought we were going to an upscale tavern. Instead we were greeted with a “dive”. The menu was “limited”… so limited it fit on an envelope sized (laminated) piece of paper. Two appetizer selections, three burger choices, etc. The only thing accurate about this location is that it does have a pet friendly patio, which is actually covered - so bonus if you happen to show up there in the rain. The ladies were very friendly and brought out a water bowl and treats for the pup.
Looks like it would be a great location to watch sporting events … just not what we were expecting.
