Traveling with my dog isn't my first choice, but when my pet sitter flaked and I was scrambling, unable to find a replacement, Grizz came along for the ride. Because he doesn't ride well (gets very anxious), I split the 10 hour drive over 2 days, and booked a room in this hotel. Large room, comfortable, perfect for what we needed. There were poop bags provided near the stairwell exit door, and a decent area to walk the dog around the hotel.

had to be out of the house for a bit today, so took Grizz to the park for a walk, and when we were both hot and tired, followed up with lunch an the patio at The Local House. my burger was amazing, and they gave Grizz his own little bowl of water, which he was extremely happy to see.

Some of the servers came out to pet Grizz, they said it really makes their day when customers bring their dogs! I commented about the lack of shade (I’d found a bit, next to the building, under the awning), and one said that the umbrellas kept breaking and are expensive, so they ordered some plastic shade sheets that haven’t come in yet. It’s an awesome place, and I’ll for sure bring my doggo in again!
