Good Food
Sebring DinerFirst, this is the only restaurant we’ve been to in a year where the server wasn’t wearing a mask. If that bothers you, you’re warned.
The service was spotty - the server seemed distracted - and the Cherry Coke I ordered came as a Coke with a cherry in the glass of ice (Cherry Coke is on the menu).
The patio was nice, and the food was excellent. Hubby had a double burger to share with the pooches, and I had the Chicken/Grape salad that seems to be a signature dish. Both were really good. Portions are large.
We mostly enjoyed our lunch. Good food, nice patio, but the slightly disorganized service and the lack of masks was a bit of a turnoff.
Awesome!
Davis Park Dog RunFirst, I’ll be honest and say it’s super muddy. it’s impossible to be otherwise after a couple of days of rain, and around a pond.
For any water-loving dog, it’s perfect. the pond is shallow enough at the edge for a timid dog to “dip their toe in the water,” and deep enough in the middle for a dog of any size to swim. There’s plenty of running space for dogs that are unenthusiastic about the water.
Nice people, friendly dogs. I wish we lived closer so we could come often.
Objective, tired happy dogs. Mission accomplished!
Nice Park, Nice People, Nice Dogs
Dog Park at Chaplin Community ParkThis is a very nice park, with lots of space for dogs to run and play, plenty of shade, fresh water for the dogs, and when we were there, lots of nice dogs to play with. people were friendly, while keeping a safe distance between, and our dogs had a great experience! I wish we could go back, but we’re snowbirds headed south for the winter, and this was our last day in the area.
Great Experience!
Spring House Brewing CompanyI’m not sure if they’ve always wanted reservations or whether it’s a COVID thing, but we made a reservation and went for dinner with our two dogs. We had ribs, Mac and Cheese, and baked beans. The food was good, not great, but the stout I had was excellent!
The dog patio doesn’t have table service, you order at a window, but the process was quick and easy, and the food came quickly.
There are several stainless steel water bowls with what looked like recently freshened water, and our dogs enjoyed the bites of rib meat and the attention from other dog owners.
The overall experience was enjoyable, and we’d definitely go again when we’re in the area.
Great Park!
Smithland Road Dog ParkThis dog park is clean and well-maintained, with large areas for small dogs and dogs over 30 lbs.
The shaded area has little grass, but they put down wood chips to keep it from being muddy.
The grassy play areas are large and the park could have many dogs and still not feel crowded.
Nice people, nice dogs. I wish we lived in the area or had one like this close by. we’re only here for a week, but will take full advantage of this great park while we’re here!
A Nice Little Park
McLeod ParkEVen with the mentioned storm damage, our dogs enjoyed it. Our puppy loved exploring the terrain, and our older dog strolled around exploring the “nooks and crannies.”
Ditto
Culver City Dog Park - the BoneyardI really have nothing to add. - just wanted to add my voice to the kudos for this park. We’re visiting in the area and our dogs had a great time here, with friendly, active dogs and attentive owners - attentive to the necessary cleanups, but not interfering in the rambunctious play of their happy dogs.
Zero Bones
Bainbridge Thai CuisineNot dog friendly unless your idea of a meal with your furry buddy is tying her up outside while you eat inside. Beautiful view from the back, but watching our fur girl sit outside would have spoiled it. Went up the street to Pegasus Coffee where they actually seat you with your fur family on their patio
A Nice Surprise!
Beef 'O' Brady'sWe had a nice four-top table, with shrubbery between us and the parking lot. We were waited on immediately, and the server helped us navigate the menu, as we’re both on Keto. Hubby had wings with celery and blue cheese dressing, and I got the Black and Blue Salad. The wings were nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked, and the salad veggies were fresh and crispy, with a large portion of steak, cooked exactly as I requested.
This was a spur of the moment lunch, and we got lucky.
The dogs were not quite as happy, as we had to ask for water, but they got lots of attention from both server and patrons, who petted them and told them what good girls they were.
We’re snowbirds so we’re only here briefly, but we’ll definitely be back!
