Great place to stay with 2 working breed dogs. Although right on the 101, there is 200 yards of lawn buffering you. Can park vehicle right in front of room for easy enter and exit. Rooms have a back door that leads to another 300 yards of lawn space. Cross that and take the stairs down to the beach. Just make sure to carry leashes with you on the beach. At low tide, it feels as if you have miles of beach for the dogs to run on! Yes, the rooms are small, but as I said this a throwback beach motel for the traveler. The room was great for me as it had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. I highly recommend if one is into “simple”!

Friendly staff. Plenty of grassy areas. Room not in main hotel, it was in a wing which made it easy to get pooches in and out. Personal blanket for the dogs is a nice touch.
