Update - Now “Berta’s Pizza Kitchen “

Update 10/30/23 - now called Berta’s Pizza Kitchen with updated menu.

Previous Review from June 2023: We stopped by on Father’s Day on our way home to FL from NC. They have a large outdoor patio of about a dozen tables that are not too close together. Staff was super friendly and helpful and came by to fuss over our Bichon offering her water and pets. They had a large selection of beers available but it appeared that the menu was limited probably because of Father’s Day. Food was good and the portions were adequate for a light dinner.

Great Stop!

This restaurant was a great stop when we were biking on the Legacy Trail with our Bichon! They have several tables and booths under roof so no worries if it rains or in our case - the baking sun (115F feel like). Staff are super friendly and very accommodating. Not sure if they have doggy bowls as I carry my own. Food was good, served hot - we sampled their pizza, eggplant, Philly cheesesteak and everything was great! Staff doted on the pup with pets and belly rubs. All in all, this will be our planned stop when we ride the trail again.

Great stop!

We stopped here on our way to NC from FL. Staff was very friendly and accommodated our Bichon - no problems. Gave her water and plenty of pets. At first, service was very slow but we found out that the hostess didn’t tell the server we were out on the side porch. No problem after that! Good beers and good burgers! What else could you ask for! There is a small parking lot one block away and the restaurant will give you a voucher so parking is free.

Nice stop!

We stayed here on our way to NC. We had a handicap accessible room that was very well appointed with a large accessible bathroom. They also offer a free hot breakfast with sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and eggs with coffee and several flavors of gourmet tea. Right outside our room there was a nice grassy area with a gazebo for walking our girl. No problems with accommodating our Bichon.

Nice place to stop!

We stopped here on our return home to SWFL. Friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are clean with microwave and refrigerator and are what you would expect at this price point. They do not have a hot breakfast but offer pre-packaged oatmeal and pastries along with coffee and tea. For a more substantial breakfast, there is an IHOP across the parking lot which is where my husband ate. Nice place per my husband. There were no problems accommodating our Bichon and there was a grassy area to walk her. There are several restaurants close by that have outdoor seating and accept dogs.
