Good stay for dogs
Residence Inn by Marriott West OrangeLarge rooms with full kitchens. Quiet on the ground floor and convenient to get outside. Bedding is rather thin. Lots of grassy areas outside for doggie use. Hot tub is nice with long hours. The $100 dog fee is pricey but good for up to a week’s stay.

Clean and comfy
Comfort Inn White River JunctionAm pleasantly surprised by the Comfort Inn brand lately. This hotel was a bit pricey, probably due to high foliage season, but very nice and comfy, and there was no pet fee. Ask front desk for code to the back door for easy access to grassy area potty breaks!

Clean and renovated
Comfort Inn EllsworthWe prefer to stay in Ellsworth when visiting Acadia. Easy access to Schoodic Peninsula part of park, and convenient to get ready-made sandwiches in nearby grocery store for picnics. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Seemed recently renovated with convenient large pet area right in back with poop bags. At check-in we were given a goody bag with dog treats and dog-friendly area brochures, which was so nice! Resident Bernese Mountain dog (manager’s dog) is very friendly too.

Perfect location, clean and comfy!
Best Western White Mountain InnVery clean and comfortable, good-sized rooms - even though they are carpeted, there is NO pet smell at all. Microwave and fridge with little freezer section. There are a few stairs to go outside the side entrance, which may be difficult to manage with a small dog, but you can also walk directly out the main entrance to grassy areas. Great location to hop on the highway to get everywhere in this scenic region. Good little supermarket right down street from hotel in little town of Franconia - can get ready-made sandwiches there for picnics. Great brewery with good food in town too, and it’s a short drive up highway to Littleton, where there are several restaurants and a scenic covered bridge.

So cute, and reasonable price!
West Quoddy Station LLCWe stayed in the cabin called “The Camp”, with a lovely wood rustic-looking interior, which was plenty big for the 2 of us and our little doglet. Clean, comfortable and fun! Bedroom with 2 queen beds, living room, and everything we needed in kitchen (full size fridge, microwave, hot plates and dishes, pans, coffee maker and filters, paper towels, garbage bags) and bathroom (good shower, many fluffy towels, toiletries). Quiet and private, nice patio and big grassy area by cabin where a resident porcupine visited to munch on weeds every evening and seemed unfazed by our presence (keep dog on leash at night!) Friendly owner gave us lots of local tips for restaurants and hiking trails. Great find, we will be back!

Very nice!!
Woodwards White Mountain Resort BW Signature CollectionPleasantly surprised at how nice this turned out to be! Interior of buildings are completely renovated - brand new bathrooms and furniture. There are several buildings on the property. We selected a deluxe pet friendly room that was in a building built into a hill so that even though we were technically on 2nd floor in front, we drove right up to the door in back. Pet relief area was so convenient, right behind our building beside the tennis court (although there were plenty of open grassy areas all over the property). And in front, we had a balcony with an amazing view of the mountains full of colorful foliage! There is also an indoor pool and hot tub and even a game room with pool and air hockey

Clean and spacious rooms!
La Quinta by Wyndham FlorenceThey did a nice job renovating; laminate flooring was perfect (no pet smell!) Clean! Large room with king bed and couch, microwave and fridge with little freezer section. Pet area is a little far, way in back, so better for smaller dogs to go out front to a couple of grassy areas there. $10 pet fee best deal in town, and the staff loved our dog!
