Grass Valley's most dog friendly brewery
Thirsty Barrel Taphouse & GrilleThis place has it all, for pups and humans alike. Super relaxing environment, (human) food is always delicious, and your dog gets attention too. Waiters bring a water bowl for your pup (we didn't even have to ask), and they offer a puppy patty (served medium rare on a pup platter). We all left full and satisfied - highly recommend!
Beautiful city views in a large dog run
Cesar Chavez Dog ParkFinally made it out to this park and I wish I'd made it sooner! Parking was easy, beautiful views of Berkeley and SF, and a variety of things to do. Grills and picnic tables on sight, and a great space to bring your dog(s) off-leash!
If your dogs are feeling fancy...
Bayfront Park Mill Valley Dog ParkWe happened to be in the area so stopped by Mill Valley Dog Park to let our pup run for a bit, and I'm so glad we did! It wasn't a fenced-in park, but the grassy area was large and flat enough to easily keep an eye on our dog while enjoying a beautiful sunset. It was very quiet when we went (maybe 3-4 dogs), but it's possible we went during "off hours". Either way, beautiful spot by the water with plenty of room for your dog to blow off some steam.
Best dog park in San Francisco!
Golden Gate ParkAs far as dog parks in big cities go, this is one of the best! A large enclosed area inside Golden Gate Park (you can drive right to it, there's a parking lot right in front of the park) that's almost always full of friendly dogs. There's a larger area for big dogs (though our small/medium Cockapoo gets along great) - it's almost all dirt, so expect to bring home a happy and dusty dog, and it's got large tree stumps and rocks to climb all over. The small dog area is still pretty big and has more grassy areas as well as a picnic table and benches. Lots of regulars, so a great place for dogs and humans alike to make friends.
Beautiful for dogs and humans!
Dogs Run Free of Nevada CountyWe love this dog park! It's nestled in the back of Condon Park (which is a great park for dogs in general) in an enclosed area thick with beautiful trees. There's a smaller section to the side for "Small and Shy Dogs", and a much larger enclosed area for the more outgoing dogs to play. There's water buckets for the dogs and a plethora of benches for the humans. Definitely recommend!
