This is a hip hotel with exceptional staff and service. Rooms are on the small side with limited storage for clothes. It is very dog friendly and has a terrific pool on the rooftop with a great view of the ocean. Parking is strictly valet and expensive. Limited restaurants within walking distance but many to chose from that are a short Uber ride away. The only downside was not finding a good grassy area for our small dogs.

Forget those large chain properties. This hotel dates to pre 1900s and full of charm. No cookie cutter rooms here; ours was uniquely shaped with exposed brick and although our room faced the street, it was quiet and cozy. Our pups had room to move and everyone loved them. We would visit again!

We stopped here for dinner with our pups. The patio was great with many tables. They brought out a large water dish and gluten free snacks for the dogs. We ordered catfish which was excellent! The coleslaw and potato salads were good but very spicy! Service was efficient and attentive. This is a keeper.

We saw the reviews and found a parking place right outside! (There is also a public lot a block away.) The menu had such a variety of foods it was hard to chose. We had our two small Yorkies in a stroller and couldn’t sit inside but the porch was covered and delightful. The staff was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or lunch.

We stayed here for one night about 4 years ago and loved the hotel. This trip was for 6 nights and we spent the whole trip at the Waterfront. The property is in the heart of Jack London Square with all kinds of restaurants within walking distance with so many choices and many have outdoor patios. The employees of the Waterfront are accommodating and very friendly. The ferry to SF is right out the door. Don’t miss the Rosenblum Wine Bar. I highly recommend this property and have decided to make this our go-to hotel.
