We stopped here on our way to Florida. Kind staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast, and best was a big park next to the hotel with an open baseball field for a good game of fetch, playground (for kids), fitness equipment (for the adults), and a paved path for dry shoes. Five bones from Gibby.
We did the Shell Key tour. Total four hours, including sandwiches, chips and beverages (for the humans). Great team, great upfront communication and an amazing day on the water including our pooch.
this off leash dog beach is a must for dog owners who want their pooch to have a place to run and swim. Located on the east end of The Beaches. Parking on the residential side streets (be respectful and don’t block driveways!). Clean beach for dogs and great swimming for people too as owners pick up garbage and poops. Things to watch out for: people who do not know it is a dog beach and set up for the day (with food - eek!) which is more of an issue on weekends in the summer when people unfamiliar with the area are driven by the crowds onto this portion of the beach, and poor water quality after big rainstorms (same as all beaches on Lake Ontario).

…. he didn’t want to leave.

visited on our road trip - we found a few friendly dogs off leash outside the dog area and none inside

dropped in on our way to/from DC from Toronto. nice clean park with responsible and friendly local owners. the Fairgrounds are a group of large sports fields with a fitness track so you can also walk your pooch (on leash) for a good leg stretch if required.

Had a great visit early one Sunday - no other dogs around but my 1 year old Springer enjoyed the large space and the agility equipment. it was a little muddy (post rain storm) so, of course, he loved it! I appreciated there were portable toilets (we were on a road trip so that was a plus!)
