Wonderful stay
HH Creek InnLittle town with a population of 2,572, but wonderful people (100 percent that we met were friendly). Our room was very clean and very large. Our name was on the room that we were given, the door was unlocked, and the key was on a table by the window. Our greeting was via text message, but it had plenty of information in it and was quite friendly. There is a very nice park less than a mile away and dogs are very welcome there. For dinner, we chose Simple Simon's Pizza directly across from the street from the inn. Looked at the menu on line and I walked over and ordered two regular calzones. I'm used to a calzone that fits on a paper plate. Huge mistake! Each was the size of the diagonal length of a large pizza box. On top of that, it was delicious, perhaps the best I've had! Give them a try and you'll be glad you did. We would detour at least 25 miles off our route to stay there again!

Nice Staff
Red Roof Inn TexarkanaWe had four dogs with us - two small and two medium. The staff were pleasant. The rooms were a little dated. My wife and I have travelled extensively, courtesy of the Army, and we've always been comfortable around people from different backgrounds and cultures. I mention this because my wife said she felt uncomfortable around the clientele; I was fine, but I won't second-guess her or her feelings. There was a very bright spot and that was Naaman's BBQ next door. World class brisket!

Fantastic Experience
Red Roof Inn MeridianThe Red Roof Inn in Meridian is next door to the Motel Six that turned us away (one bone review). They had a sign out that advertised that Pets Stay Free, so we pulled in. A very nice lady greeted us and said that our four dogs were just fine and stayed free. The inn seems to be under new management and is being renovated. The room was very clean, the manager (might have been the owner) was helpful with a issue that came up (not hotel related), and there are plenty of places to walk your pet(s). Next door is an excellent Indian restaurant, the Punjab Palace - we had chicken curry, spiced rice, and garlic naan - excellent!

Dated, but great staff
Motel 6 Amarillo TX - AirportThe staff were very accommodating, and we were 1.3 miles from a city park. The pups loved the park!

Days Inn by Wyndham West MemphisThe staff was terrific, and the dogs had a great time. Their breakfast bar was pretty good.

Big rooms and tile floors
Ramada by Wyndham TulsaVery nice staff. Excellent shower! Rooms were very large, and the tile floors were a bonus, although we didn't need to worry.
