Love you, Residence Inn
Residence Inn by Marriott New Orleans Covington/North ShoreHotel was great - I usually stay next door at the courtyard, but this time we had the doggo along, so it was the residence inn for us. Very secluded location - we had a moving van full of stuff, felt very secure. No way would we have stayed down in New Orleans. Nice, clean, all as expected from a Residence Inn. Front desk very welcoming. Had to sign pet waiver, no big deal. They have a small dog-walking area outside - no traffic aside from the hotel guests, so safe for walking around at night. Booked through BringFido so Marriott gets a message that pet owners choose based on pet policies.
Fantastic food - extremely pup friendly
Marion Street Bistro & Brew HouseFirst, our waitress Shannon was amazing! Super professional, comfortable, attentive and friendly. The food was equally awesome. Very high quality redfish/shrimp plate, homemade hummus was a wonderful appetizer. This restaurant would thrive anywhere - really, really good. What a delightful find, just a couple of minutes off of Interstate 10.
Extremely welcoming to our blue heeler - they brought him a water bowl as soon as we were seated, without even being asked. A few other dogs there - no problems whatsoever.
Big lot of free public parking, right across the street, so no worries about the vehicle, either. Loved everything!
Fun, unique, VERY doggo friendly
Dancing Avocado KitchenThey are incredibly dog friendly - very nice little covered decks that keep everyone out of the sun.
Lovely, unique restaurant - lovely people, super welcoming to our senior dog, great food (SUPER fresh), generous portions.
They make their own “dancers dust” - a salt/pepper/sesame/etc dusting powder… fair warning, it can hook you on the first taste. Luckily, they also sell it to go!
Very vegan friendly, if that’s your bag.
Perfect Southern Breakfast
The Sugar Kettle CafeOne of the most pleasant breakfasts we’ve had in years! Lovely tables under the beautiful big trees outside, doggo was super happy, and so were we!
The food was amazing - everything homemade, right down to the jams and jellies. Adorable southern house turned restaurant, the people are really wonderful and welcoming, as are the other patrons. If I lived here, I’d be here every week. Absolutely beautiful!
Very dog friendly!
La Quinta by Wyndham MobileNo extra pet fee. Even gave our baby a doggie treat! Will definitely stay again!
