Jennings Dog Beach Jennings Dog Beach is the only off-leash beach in the area from October 1st to March 31st. Dogs are allowed on the sand, but not on the boardwalks, pavillions, or playgrounds.

Pet Friendly Hammonasset Beach State Park
Hammonasset Beach State Park Leashed dogs are welcome in picnic areas, ball fields, nature trails, and bike paths year-round. Dogs are only permitted on beaches from November 1 to the end of March. Visitors with pets are subject to fines if caught on the beach from April 1 to October 31. See Details
Compo Beach Off-Leash Dog Area Compo Beach Off-Leash Dog Area is located at Compo Beach and Yacht Club in Westport, CT, and welcomes dogs from October 1 through March 30. The off leash section is located south of the brick bathhouses and is clearly marked. Please note that the area is not fenced. Dogs are not permitted on the playground, pavilion, or beach walkways.
