Kittatinny Valley State Park is a pet-friendly recreation area in Andover, New Jersey. Sections of the Paulinskill Natural Trail and the Sussex Branch Trail, constructed atop two former railroads, can be accessed from the park. You might even see a musher and his dogsled team running down the trail. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to stay overnight in any of the facilities. Kittatinny Valley State Park is open every day of the week from 9am to 4pm.

One of the Pocono Mountains most famous attractions, Bushkill Falls is dog friendly. Spanning 300 acres in the scenic Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania’s Bushkill Falls is a nature lover’s delight. With eight waterfalls accessible from just over two miles of walking trails, the park is an excellent spot to explore with your pup. Open April through November, the park offers four trails of varying degrees of difficulty, making the falls accessible to visitors of all ability levels. The months of April and November operations are weather dependent.

Mt. Olive Dog Park is a nice, well maintained dog park operated by the Mt. Olive Parks department. It is part of Turkey Brook Park which includes lots of soccer, football and baseball fields, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, playgrounds, and walking paths. The dog park is in the back of the park and is fenced, with a separate area for smaller dogs and double gated entry. All dogs must be vaccinated and on leash until in the dog park. There are no toys allowed to prevent dominance. Baggies are available for clean up and there is no water available, so bring your own!

W. Leroy Lewis Dog Park
Opened in June, 2015, the W. Leroy Lewis Dog Park, previously Middle Smithfield Township Dog Park, is conveniently located right off of Route 209, with a large sign visible from the road. This beautiful, large park has separate sections for large and small dogs, a gravel walking path around the outside of the off-leash areas, shade trees, seating and 6' tall fences. A water spigot is located in the parking lot to provide water for the dogs. In the winter, the Dog Park is home to the Township’s temporary Ice Rink for skating.
