8th Ave Dog Beach

From October 1st through May 15th, dogs are allowed on the Boardwalk and on the 8th Avenue Dog Beach all day. During the summer, dogs are welcome between the hours of 6pm - 8:30am. For your safety and pleasure, ONLY licensed non-aggressive dogs with adult supervision are permitted on the Dog Beach.

Wonder Bar Yappy Hour

Wonder Bar hosts a Doggie Happy Hour weekly, usually on Thursdays. Doggies get to romp and play in very large fenced outdoor area while Mommy and Daddy enjoy a cool drink.

Sandy Hook/Gateway National Park

Ocean-side beaches at Sandy Hook Unit from March 15 through Labor Day (piping plover season). Pets ARE permitted on bay-side beaches at Plum Island and Horseshoe Cove throughout the year, but must always be on a leash. Dog owners must carry out all trash, and make preparations for carrying out dog waste.

Fisherman's Cove Conservation Area

Fisherman's Cove Conservation Area is the last undeveloped tract on the Manasquan Inlet. The 55-acre site is a great place to fish, walk on the beach, or go sunbathing. Dogs are welcome at Eastern section of the beach, but they must be leashed at all times to preserve the delicate coastal habitat. The Western section of the beach has been designated "dog free."
