Pet Friendly Burkes Beach
Burkes Beach Very nice beach with metered spaces that is dog-friendly before before 10am and after 5pm from April 1st through late September. Walking distance to the Chaplain Community Park, which includes the Best Friends Dog Park; if you don't like to walk, there are parking spaces in both areas. Parking is free at the Community Park, and metered at the beach access point. See Details
Pet Friendly Alder Lane Beach Access
Alder Lane Beach Access Alder Lane Beach is a great, quiet getaway from the typical beach scene since its crowd size is much smaller than that of the surrounding area beaches. It's located off of South Forest Beach drive, next to the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort, and amenities include Beach Matting, Restrooms, Outdoor Showers, 22 Metered Parking Spaces, and Seasonal Lifeguards. Animals are permitted on the beach during the official beach season, April 1st through September 30th before 10 a.m. and after 5 p.m, or anytime in the off season. They must be on a leash or under positive voice control at all times. Owner's are also required to remove and properly dispose of the animal's excrement as well. See Details

Hilton Head Island Beaches Dogs are allowed on Hilton Head beaches and must be on a leash between 10 am and 5 pm from April 1 through the Thursday before Memorial Day, and must be leashed between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm the Tuesday after Labor Day through September 30. Dogs must be on a leash or under positive voice control at all other times. Dogs must be leashed at all times on Fish Haul and Mitchelville beaches. Dogs not permitted between 10 am and 5 pm from the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day. Persons in control of animals on the beach are required to remove and properly dispose of the animal's excrement. Please note that the Beaufort County Sheriff's Department patrols the beaches and enforces all regulations. Violators of beach regulations are subject to fines up to $500 per each offense. Beach Walk, Turtle Talks and Shark Tales 'Beach Walk, Turtle Talks and Shark Tales' is a pet-friendly Airbnb Experience hosted by Holly. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners on this tour. Your experience will change depending on when you choose to visit Hilton Head Island. May through October is sea turtle season and the other 6 months is shark time. Look for the beach walk and shark teeth experience November thru April. Your host will help you identify what you find, what you should keep or leave on the beach and how everyday activities affect what may be happening in the ocean. Fort Pulaski itself is a large-scale outdoor exhibit. The main structure, together with outlying works including demilune, drawbridges, ditches, and dikes, is a fine example of historic military architecture. Leashed pets are welcome to enter the fort and explore the hiking trails within the monument. Leashed dogs are also are allowed to walk along the shoreline; however, they should not enter the water, as there is always a very strong current. Pets are not allowed in public buildings.
