8th Avenue Dog Beach 8th Avenue Dog Beach is pet-friendly. If your hound was born to run, plan an off-leash romp at the 8th Avenue Dog Beach in Asbury Park. After a game of fetch or Frisbee, jump in the water with your pooch for a refreshing swim. Dogs are always allowed on the beach between mid-September and mid-May. If you are visiting in summer, schedule an early morning or late evening visit, as dogs are not permitted between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm. See Details

Asbury Park Photo Tour 'Asbury Park Photo Tour' is a pet-friendly Airbnb Experience hosted by Noelle. Create some lasting memories with your pooch at this photoshoot along the boardwalk seasonally. The 55-acre site is a great place to fish, walk on the beach, or go sunbathing. Dogs are welcome at Eastern section of the beach, but they must be leashed at all times to preserve the delicate coastal habitat. The Western section of the beach has been designated "dog free." Island Beach State Park Dogs are permitted in the park but must be kept on a leash that is a maximum length of six feet. They are not allowed on the swimming beach (the lifeguard area) during the summer season or on the Spizzle Creek Bird Blind Trail at any time. It is a good idea to check your dog for ticks after you take them on any of the other trails. Also do not leave your dog, or any other pet, unattended in the car during warm weather. See Details
Wonder Bar Yappy Hour Yappy Hour is when the Wonder Bar plays host to furry friends! With plenty of fenced-­in outdoor space, dogs can meet new friends, get some exercise, or just chill by the water bowl, while their humans do some socializing of their own. Dogs must be neutered and have current rabies tag or dog license. Choke, prong and spike collars are not permitted. The Yappy Hour deck is for customers 21 and over. Barnegat Light Dog Park The Barnegat Light Dog Park is on the north end of New Jersey's Long Beach Island. The park has a dual function as ballfield and dog park with a double gated entrance. All dog park users MUST obtain a dog park gate entry card (“Paw Pass”) and a dog park tag. Passes are free for Barnegat Light residents and for non-residents the annual fee is $30 and the weekly fee is $10. Applications for the passes can be obtained at Borough Hall, the Beach Badge Booth (in-season) or on the Borough website. The Hungry Puppy Dog Park The Hungry Puppy, a pet food and supply retailer at 1288 Route 33, Howell, opened its Puppy Park, a safe environment where pet owners can being their dogs to socialize.
