Oakland Bark Park Oakland Park loves pets! Bark Park is located adjacent to Royal Palm Park at 971 NW 38th Street. Intended to provide a fun and safe environment for our furry friends and those who love them, this park serves as a meeting place for residents while promoting socialization and exercise. The Dog Park features separate fenced areas for large dogs and small dogs, as well as parking for 30 vehicles. Structures provide additional exercise and agility training. Haulover Beach Park Haulover Beach Park features a bark park with an enclosure for small dogs (less than 35 lbs.) and large dogs (more than 35 lbs.) located near the south picnic area. Entrance to the bark park is through parking lot #3 located on the west side of Collins Avenue if traveling southbound or through parking lot #4 located on the east side of Collins Avenue if traveling northbound. The bark park features shade trees, picnic tables, and drinking fountains for both dogs and their companions, as well as doggie waste bag dispensers and waste containers. The bark park is open from 8am to sunset, seven days a week. Parking fees are $2 per vehicle. Dogs are also welcome on the beach, near lifeguard tower #3, seven days a week from 8am-3pm. Fort Lauderdale Canine Beach Fort Lauderdale allows dogs on-leash in a large marked area of the beach. There are dog bags, water, and beach showers at this dog park. There is even a city officer on site to help with any problems and rule enforcement at the beach. The beach is close to the road, but officer and dunes are both between the beach and the road, so really, the only issue is parking. The beach is only open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. To purchase a permit, applicants must provide documentation proving residency. The permit holder MUST CARRY permit(s) on their person at all times when bringing a dog/dogs to the beach.
