There is also a fenced, double-gated picnic shelter area located between the small and large park areas. Millbrook Dog Park is lighted for nighttime use. Sal's Branch Trail - William B. Umstead State Park Sal's Branch Trail is about 2.7 miles long and located near Raleigh, North Carolina. This lovely little trail is great if you are in a hurry or if your pup doesn't do well on longer hikes. You won't have to worry about bicycles or horses, since this trail is limited to foot traffic.
