Pet Friendly Veterans Memorial Park
Veterans Memorial Park This 333 acre park was built in honor of Hamilton's veterans in 1977. Approximately four miles of walking trails are sprinkled through wooded areas, and there are more than two miles of paved bicycle trails, intermittent picnic grounds, rest stops, athletic fields, a large lake, huge tennis complex and a dog park. The dog park has a well maintained, fenced-in, off-leash play area. There is a separate enclosure for large and small dogs with double-entry gates. Both areas offer agility equipment and obstacle courses, benches, poop bags and trash receptacles. A doggie water fountain is just outside the dog park entrance. There are lots of fish in the lake, and it is a popular place to fish. The lake allows non-motorized boats, so it's also a great place to kayak with you dog. You can stop at many enclaves to give you and the dog a rest. The community park has a paved path for the disabled, as well as picnic areas with grills, a soccer field, and tennis courts.
