Helen Avalynne Tawes Garden Dogs are allowed to join their owners at Helen Avalynne Tawes Garden. This five-acre garden includes a forest typical of Western Maryland, a stream, and an Eastern Shore peninsula. The barrier-free garden in the park contains pleasant ponds and a raised planter with lots of different plants. You can wander with your pooch around the trails and pathways that weave around the interesting plants that represent much of the life that can be found in the area. Dogs must be on a leash under six feet for the duration of their visit and owners should clean up any mess that they leave behind. Sandy Point State Park Dogs are welcome to join their owners at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, Maryland. Another Maryland park along the stunning Chesapeake Bay, this one is known for beaches and picnic areas with great views across the water and the coast. The park is also popular among dog walkers because of the numerous trails located here, including the Symbi Trail, starting at one of the picnic areas and leading you through pine forests. There are also four miles of trails that border the Corcoran Tract, where you may find other animals going about their days and a variety of different plant life. Dogs are allowed to join their owners in the day use areas of the park during the off-season between October 1 to April 30​. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed during the summer months. If you're planning on bringing your pet with you, make sure they are on a leash and you clean up any mess after them. The park is open from January 1 to October 31 from 7am to sunset and November 1 to December 31 from 7am to 5pm. See Details

Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to telling the stories of the Chesapeake Bay and the people who have shaped their lives around it. Leashed dogs are allowed on its grounds during regular business hours, with the exception of festival dates.

Situated on 18 waterfront acres in the historic town of St. Michaels, Maryland, the Museum offers exhibits, demonstrations, boat rides on the Miles River, and annual festivals that celebrate Chesapeake Bay culture, boats, seafood, and history.

The Museum's floating fleet of historic Chesapeake Bay watercraft is the largest in existence and its small boat collection includes crabbing skiffs, workboats, and log canoes. The Museum's working boatyard highlights restoration of the Bay's traditional vessels. The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a fully accredited member of the American Association of Museums.

North Point State Park Dogs are welcome at North Point State Park in Edgemere, Maryland. Located on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, this spot is truly a place of natural beauty. As well as the beautiful coastal views, you can take a look at the original trolley station, now used as a covered picnicking area, and working fountain from the Bay Shore Amusement Park that used to draw lots of visitors between 1906 and 1947. Wildlife lovers will enjoy the varied animals that call the park their home, including muskrats, beavers, foxes, otters, osprey, great blue herons, and bald eagles. Additionally, dogs who love walkies will be able to take a wander on The Defenders Trail, which was used by soldiers during the War of 1812, that passes through the park.​​ Leashed pets are allowed in day-use areas after Labor Day to Memorial Day weekend, as long as all mess is cleaned up after them.
