Colonial Park Cemetery Located in the heart of Savannah's Historic District, Colonial Park is one of the oldest surviving cemeteries in the United States, dating back to the mid-eighteenth century. Closing a hundred years later, the cemetery deteriorated, but it was restored and reopened as a public park in the 1890s.

Fort Morris Historic Site Fort Morris Historic Site is a dog-friendly attraction. This 67-acre park is home to a nature trail and a number of pretty picnic spots. You and Fido are invited to borrow binoculars and a field guide to go birding in the area as well, where you may spot some downy woodpeckers, pileated woodpeckers, goldfinches, wood storks, painted buntings, great egrets, or one of the many other coastal species that call the area their home.
