Newtown Dog Park

There is the 1/2-acre big dog park area with a smaller run for dogs right by the basketball courts when you enter the park (on the left). There is also an unofficial dog park hidden back behind the historic school building. There you will find 5 acres of shaded hilly land for your dog to run wild! Bring your own water and bowl (and always some to share and spill) and poop bags. No human or pet food. Children under 12 must be supervised and use caution when in the dog park. No aggressive dogs permitted.

WolfBrook Dog Club & Park is a private dog club with 12-acre off leash park. Social events, training, and daycare is offered to members. All dogs are screened prior to membership.

Piedmont Dog Park is an off-leash park in the downtown area of Atlanta, Georgia. Dogs must be leashed when entering or exiting the off-leash area of the park. Owners must clean up after their pets. No more than 3 dogs per person are permitted in the park. There is a specific area designated for small dogs under 30 pounds. No puppies under 16 weeks old are permitted in the off-leash portion of the park. The park has benches available for owners to sit while their dogs play.

In 2010 the CHNA raised funds to start the only Downtown Atlanta off-leash dog park, thanks in large part to the 2-acre parcel donation by land owner Jerry Miller. Recent additions, such as benches are thanks to Besharat Gallery. The park combines our creative talents — from diversion of water from the roof of a nearby building (no future H2O bills) to wood chips donated by Georgia Power and provision for ornamental fencing as a gateway, designed by Castleberry Hill artists.

The approximately 85-acre park feature fields for baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse and football, tennis courts, basketball courts, a walking trail around the perimeter of the park, pavilions, a dog park, a large playground, five-acre passive area, skate park and an administrative building. The Fowler Park trail head for the Big Creek Greenway is now open and provides access to the 6.8 mile multi-use path.

The Brook Run Dog Park is four acres, fully-wooded and fully-fenced. One loop around the park's fence line is 1/3 of a mile. There are multiple seating areas throughout as well as water stations and poop stations. This is a public park, so it's free. The dog park is open from sunrise til sunset. Large parking lot adjacent. There is NO separate section for small dogs yet, but four acres offers a lot of room to find a quiet spot. The park is maintained by a large, all-volunteer, non-profit organization that continually works to improve the facility, so please do your part to pick up after your dog. Canton Paw Park

There are both large dog sides and small dog sides, although the small dogs are allowed in the large dog side, the reverse is not true, except for very calm, senior dogs. :) There is water and benches. Dog pick up bags are recycled shopping bags in the little wood "bird houses" on posts around the fence. It is laid back, and the people are friendly, as are the dogs. New comers are always welcomed! This park may be unique in that it is built and run by volunteers. No city or county funds have been used to build it, only donations and fund raisers, and the maintenance is done by volunteers. Usually the board members!

Burger Park is located just west of Windy Hill Road and south of South Cobb Drive in Smyrna and is adjacent to Belmont Hills Elementary School. Officially opened in December 2013, it is the first off-leash dog park in this community. Located along Piedmont Ave. & Renaissance Pkwy., it has both large and small dog areas with shade trees, benches, water fountains (open from March to November) and amazing views of the Downtown and Midtown skyline.
