Fort Harrison State Park Dog Park Fort Harrison State Park is the only state park in Indiana to offer a dog park due to its urban nature. The dog park is located on the north side of the state park. There are three fenced play areas without size restrictions. Platoon Run boasts 3.6 acres with large shade trees, a water station, benches, waste stations, agility equipment, a shelter, and even a fireplace. Herrin Hill is a 1.3-acre play area that is mostly open with shade, a water station, benches, and waste stations. Brigade Landing is open seasonally and offers 5 acres complete with a pond, dog beach, and a wooded area. Humane Society of Indianapolis Dog Park Central Indiana's first pet park is on the campus of the Humane Society of Indianapolis. The park is a place for owners to hang out with their pets in a safe, fenced area. Watch Rover romp through the canine agility course while you and your family relax at picnic tables. You can also hike through 1.5 miles of wooded trails. For membership, bring a copy of your pet's current vaccination records, including rabies, and fill out an application. Annual registration is $75 for your first dog and $50 for each additional. You will be given a key fob to the Pet Park, which allows you to use the park even if the shelter is closed. See Details

Members of the Rec Center -- $20/dog Resident Non-Members -- $30/dog Non-Resident/Non-Members -- $40/dog All dogs must be registered to use the Bark Park. To register, owners should bring the registration form, membership fee, signed Waiver of Liability, signed Bark Park Rules acknowledgment, and completed and signed vaccination records to the front desk of the Recreation Center. (Please do not bring your dog.) When the registration process if fully completed, owners will receive a swipe card to gain access to the Bark Park.

The Bark Park is open from dawn to dusk every day. Parking is available at Swinford Park, and the Bark Park is located to the east of south east end of Swinford. Fees are intended to assist with a portion of the maintenance costs of the Bark Park. Users are encouraged to alert the Parks staff of any dogs that are too aggressive or are creating problems for other dogs. The Park is intended to be self-policing.
