Raccoon River Dog Park

This 12-acre, fenced dog park is a fabulous place for your pet to get some off-leash exercise. Includes separate areas for large and small dogs. Permit required.

K9COLA Citizens for Off-Leash Areas

Located in Squaw Creek Park, this 11-acre fenced off-leash dog park is divided into three sections. The main off-leash yard is approximately 8 acres and features a walking trail, waste receptacles, trees, and benches. The second section serves as a training yard for dogs that aren't fully socialized. And the third area is designed specifically for small dogs.

Crow Creek Dog Park

Many dogs in the quad cities come to visit this dog park. It has two sides which rotate periodically in order to do maintenance on the closed side. Each side has benches to sit on and dog water fountains just outside the dog entrance.

Ames Dog Park

The City of Ames now offers an opportunity for dogs to play off-leash in a designated 10-acre dog park. The dog park is located at 605 Billy Sunday Road. Billy Sunday Road is located off South Duff Avenue, behind the City's Animal Shelter. The Dog Park is comprised of two areas; a 2-acre area for dogs less than 25 pounds and an 8-acre area for larger dogs. To utilize the Dog Park owners must provide a current rabies vaccination certification and purchase a Facility Use Permit Tag.
