Woodland Nature Trail is an easy, 0.75-mile hike in Falls Lake State Recreation Area that will take about 40 minutes to complete with Fido. Make sure to pack some food to enjoy before or after your hike at Picnic Area 1, located right by the trailhead. This trail is bike free and offers beautiful color with blooming flowers in the spring and changing leaves in the fall. Sandling Beach is closed November 1 through March 15. Please note that dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.

The GAP is a great place to get some fresh air and enjoy the great outdoors. There are three miles of paved walking trails. The longest loop is 1.2 miles. There's a large picnic shelter and clean restrooms. There is also a playground with safe, modern equipment. There is ample parking as well. It also has an interesting history and is maintained by organic standards. All dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. You must pick up after your pet.
