Granville Athletic Park - Jonesland Environmental Preserve Dog-friendly Granville Athletic Park in Oxford, NC, is a fun place to get some fresh air and enjoy the great outdoors. There are three miles of paved walking trails, the longest loop being 1.2 miles. There is also a large picnic shelter, clean restrooms, a playground with safe, modern equipment, and ample parking. All dogs must be on a leash no longer than six feet and you must pick up after your pet. They do not supply poop bags but there are lots of trashcans to dispose of your dog's waste. See Details
Lake Devin Park Lake Devin Park is a stocked public fishing lake and dog-friendly park in Oxford, NC. A NC Fishing License and a Lake Devin Fishing Permit are required to fish here. The park also features 2.5 miles of easy to moderate trails with overlooks and picnic areas. A concession and tackle shop is open seasonally (May-Aug). There is also a large picnic shelter, an outdoor volleyball net, horseshoe pit, fishing pier and boat ramp available, but use of gas motors is currently prohibited. The picnic shelter can be reserved for a fee. Dogs are allowed but must be on leash and under control at all times. Pet waste must be picked up and disposed of. Dogs cannot be tied up, left unattended or left inside a vehicle at any time. Rabies vaccination must be current and on the collar. Aggressive breed dogs are not allowed. See Details
