Walk/Run for the Animals 2.0
This year’s fundraiser for Humane Society for Southwest Washington has been upgraded! Register now for Walk/Run for the Animals 2.0 and ask your friends and family to support the cause by making a donation. HSSW will provide you with tips for fundraising, including a virtual guide, email and social media graphics, and customizable fundraising pages. Best of all, prizes for you and Fido will be awarded at different fundraising levels.
Walk/Run for the Animals 2.0 will take place through Saturday, May 2. Registration is free.
Puppy Love Online Auction
Puppy Love, a Roanoke Valley SPCA signature fundraiser, normally brings together hundreds of animal lovers from all over the Roanoke Valley to dine and dance the night away. This year, your pup can join in the fun with you as the event has gone virtual! Visit the website to make a donation, purchase tickets or participate in the online auction. You’ll be able to bid on items like tickets to special events, pet-related products and services, restaurants, handbags, jewelry, gift cards, trips, golf packages and more.
The Puppy Love Online Auction will take place Friday, May 1, through Saturday, May 16. Registration is free.
Virtual Walk for Animals
Help create a more humane San Diego for companion animals and wildlife in need by joining San Diego Humane Society’s first-ever Virtual Walk for Animals. Participants will be invited to view the live social media event at home and then take Fido for a stroll (with safety and social distancing in mind) around the neighborhood, living room or even using a treadmill. Creativity encouraged! Registration includes coaching emails from the fundraising team, a personal Participant Center loaded with email templates and heartwarming animal stories for you to share, and your very own Fundraising Guide.
The Virtual Walk for the Animals will take place Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is free, and prizes will be awarded for fundraising.
Virtual Angel Pets Expo
Enjoy the Virtual Angel Pets Expo with Fido from your couch this year. You can network with fellow pet owners and check out a variety of online presentations, programs and activities. The “Meet the Vendors” session will feature a variety of pet businesses that focus on holistic pet care, from animal acupuncture and canine rehabilitation specialists to pet sitters and groomers.
The Virtual Angel Pets Expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. The event is free to attend, but some activities will incur a small fee.
Virtual Walk for the Animals
Take your pooch for a Virtual Walk for the Animals to benefit Animal Humane Society. This annual event brings together more than 9,000 people and 3,000 animals to wag, walk and raise funds for homeless animals across Minnesota. Register to gain access to easy-to-use fundraising tools; the more money you raise, the more prizes you and Fido will be eligible to receive!
The Virtual Walk for the Animals will take place through Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration is free.
Sunday Funday - Instagram Live DJ Set
Raise the woof and dance along with your dog to a live DJ during Sunday Funday - Instagram Live DJ Set! You and your furry family members are invited to stomp your paws along to the beats spinning by DJ Marcus Aurelius, who will be streaming live on Wallis Annenberg PetSpace’s Instagram. There will be special appearances from social media influencer pets, and you can even hop on the stream to share your pet's best moves!
Sunday Funday - Instagram Live DJ Set will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. every Sunday through May 17. Registration is free.
Yappy Hour Virtual Trivia
How sharp is your Shar-Pei? Test your collective brain power at Yappy Hour Virtual Trivia with Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation. Proceeds allow ARF to save dogs and cats who have run out of time at public shelters, and support programs that bring people and animals together. The online event is sponsored by ARF in partnership with Calicraft Brewing Co. The winner will receive a six-pack of craft beer, and every adult who purchases a ticket will receive a code for 10 percent off Calicraft products.
Yappy Hour Virtual Trivia will take place Tuesday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 19, from 5 to 6 p.m. Registration is $10.
Pittsburgh Dog Mom's Day - Pet Food Bank Donation Drive
Put your paws together with dog moms in the Pittsburgh area for the Pittsburgh Dog Mom's Day - Pet Food Bank Donation Drive. The event is hosted by Wear Wag Repeat and Dogs of Pittsburgh, who joined forces to raise money for Animal Friends Chow Wagon Pet Food Bank. You can donate food or cash, and shop the special Dog Moms Unite collection available online at Wear Wag Repeat. Dog Mom’s Day t-shirts and tote bags will also be available for sale. A portion of all profits, along with all donations and supplies, will be sent to Animal Friends.
The Pittsburgh Dog Mom's Day - Pet Food Bank Donation Drive will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 9.
Paws & Feet Virtual FunDay
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a virtual animal rescuer! Register your canine superhero for Paws & Feet Virtual FunDay to benefit the Animal Welfare Association. Every dollar raised goes toward helping pets in South Jersey. Choose either the Smile Mile or 3 Mile Stroll, and don’t forget to snap a photo while walking with your dog to share at the online event.
Paws & Feet Virtual FunDay will take place through Saturday, May 30. Registration is $30 per participant and includes a commemorative t-shirt.
Virtual PetPromise Rescue Run
Fido will appreciate being able to walk and sniff at his own pace on the Virtual PetPromise Rescue Run. This event will allow everyone to get out and walk/run while supporting the efforts of PetPromise to change the future for all homeless pets through education, rescue, sterilization and adoption. Choose to complete wherever and whenever you like!
The Virtual PetPromise Rescue Run will take place through Saturday, May 23. Registration is $35 per person and includes a t-shirt that will be mailed to you.
