Dog Events Near GMU Airport

Bring Fido out for an evening of fall fun featuring local vendors and pet-friendly activities!

This dog-friendly event lets pups cool off and have fun playing in the splash pad at Unity Park before it closes for the season. Registration is required, and vaccination records must be provided. The event features designated time slots for all dogs to play, and one time slot for small dogs under 25 lbs only. Each pup is allowed to have a maximum of two people accompanying them and there's a limit of two dogs per person.

This dog-friendly Halloween celebration features trick-or-treating with local businesses and city departments, followed by an outdoor movie under the stars. Guests can enjoy costumes, candy and a movie with their leashed pups.

Celebrate the holiday season with Fido at a festive community gathering featuring live holiday music, a holiday market filled with local vendors, photos with Santa, train rides, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and seasonal activities for all ages. Leashed dogs are welcome; leashes must be six feet or shorter, and owners are expected to clean up after their pets. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.

Every Tuesday, bring Fido to enjoy unbeatable views, refreshing drink specials, and plenty of tail-wagging fun as the rooftop transforms into a lively hangout for dogs and their humans. Pups can indulge in complimentary UP pup cups and fresh water bowls, while their owners sip and socialize. With occasional giveaways and pet-friendly pop-ups, Yappy Hour is the paw-fect way to unwind and make new furry (and human) friends in the UPstate!
