Flying With Dogs Dog Travel Forum

We are in the process of planning our move to the Philippines with our 7 yr old cocker spaniel. She has never flown before and we found a direct flight out of SFO to Manila. Does anyone know if the cargo areas are temp controlled? Are they lit? It is a 13-15 hour flight and we are very concerned about her comfort level and safety. I think we have all the paperwork and legal stuff in line its just the safety and comfort we now worry about. Hope someone can give us some good tips.
