Flying with a dog from US to Ireland

I am planing a trip to ireland this summer, but I can not go unless i can fly my dog there. I am going for a couple of month to do some back packing and just cant leave the pup behing. What do I need to do to get her there? What would be the cost and regulations required? Can anyone help?
