  Large grassy area for dog

  Hotel was very accommodating about giving us a first floor room right near the dog walking area. The area itself is large, grassy, and has 2 picnic tables so we were able to sit and have coffee while the dog explored. One note: our dog loves people and other dogs but HATES cats with a passion. During our overnight stay, we saw at least 4 different cats walking around the parking lot and cars next to the dog area, which meant we had to constantly be on the alert. Anyone whose dog has cat issues should be aware.

  Average Motel

  This is your average dated motel. Clean and adequate for a nights stay. I did find it humorous they charge an extra $5 as a "resort fee."

  Great location

  I recommend this hotel for pup owners. Check-in and checkout was easy. Room easily accessible from car. Walking distance to dog park. Also, a nice grass area in back of the hotel for a quick pit stop. There are many cats, so had to keep a tight hold on leash.

  Comfortable accommodations with a large grass area behind the hotel for your dog(s) to play and do their thing.

  Bad hotel

  Needs a total upgrade. Dog area was nice but stray cats everywhere. Even saw 2 skunks in the dog area. Thank God I had my dog on a leash. Breakfast was terrible.

  Great Stay

  During a 5 day road trip with 2 dogs, every hotel/motel was completely prepared for us. My rooms were prepaid and I only had to pay the individual pet fees which were clearly mentioned when I booked each room. The rooms were all first floor and close to walking spaces. I travel by car several times a year and will continue to use BringFido - great service.

  Clean, comfortable rooms; very good rates; nice dog run area behind the hotel; currently a bit understaffed, but very accommoding.

  Rosie’s First Hotel Experience!

  This was our first experience taking Rosie on a trip. She enjoyed being able to stay in the room with us and having a dog park to run about in and take care of business before bedtime. We enjoyed pizza next door on the patio. Our dinner on the patio at a local steak house ended perfectly when another guest just had to tell us our dog was so well mannered! It probably helped that Rosie was tuckered out from our hike up Rock Creek☺️ Anyway, our 4 night stay was a positive experience that we look forward to continuing with Rosie along!

  Front desk was very polite and helpful. The rooms were very neat and clean. Did not smell like cigarette smoke. Also like the fact that there was a doggy park. Highly recommend this hotel. We will be staying there again.

  Helped me out in a difficult situation

  Always nice rooms and friendly staff. This time around we rolled in late and got the most beat-up rooms in the place because they were the last available. The door handle to my room broke with me outside and my dog inside. The clerk helped me break down the door, which was very nice of her. I ended up barricading the broken door for the night and sleeping in the beat-up old room. The refunded me for the room and we made it through the night OK.

  Would stay again

  The motel is nothing elaborate but the room was clean and well-kept. Plenty of space for our pups dog bed next to moms side of the bed. Mattress was firm and comfortable, pillows were good. Our room was directly across the drive from the pet area which was grassy with a picnic table and charcoal grill if you are traveling and tired of eating out. The breakfast offerings were a bit slim but coffee was plentiful. The price charged is what we were quoted so I wouldn't hesitate to book again when in the area.

  If you need a place to stay in Bishop, this would be it. Near restaurants and grocery stores and you can have breakfast at the restaurant across the parking lot

  Great Location

  My room was very clean and comfortable. The dog area was large and grassy. Staff was very nice and helpful. I didn’t swim but the pool area was very nice.

  Room was great

  Young girl who checked us in does not smile, no sense of humor, very serious. Was very disappointed that I called ahead & asked if jacuzzi open and told yes. After hubby and I change into swimsuits go to jacuzzi and it was ice cold.

  Good, basic, older hotel, at a fair price.

  This is our second stay at the Vagabond Inn, Bishop. We really like staying here with our dog. It is not fancy, but it is very convenient for traveling with a dog and the owners/staff work to keep the place clean. Room doors open directly to outside and there is a dedicated dog potty area. They have been able to put us on the ground floor, which is nice for dogs. If you are looking for something modern, maybe not for you. It will continue to be our go to hotel in Bishop, when traveling with our dog.

  Note to other dog owners: pick up after your dog!! They have potty bags available and disposal cans by dog area. Very unpleasant stepping in something another dog owner failed to pick up. Don't be lazy and give people a reason to complain about our dogs. Of course this is not the fault of the hotel, we see it in every dog friendly hotel :(

  Great spontaneous get away!

  We booked our stay on a whim& it was so easy to book the room online; we arrived earlier than we anticipated & they let us check in almost 2 hours early! Another added perk was the additional 10% off our Denny’s purchase at the neighboring building! Would definitely stay here again.

  Great dog exercise area!!

  The hotel is clean - dated even though they are renovating - but they have a great area in the back for the dogs to run!!

  Good overnight

  The Vagbond provides a modest, clean room for a travelor with dogs and a tight budget. The staff was friendly. The best part, however, is the exceptionally large exercise yard with doggie bags and disposal can. Our poodle met another poodle there and was able to run and exercise freely before getting back on the road.

  Great dog park, friendly welcome

  Vagabond Inn is a very welcoming dog stay. Our room was very clean, dog park at the rear of property was large and grassy. One real minus was the paper thin walls between rooms. Fortunately other guests were quiet, but showers and toilets very loud. Otherwise a great place, rooms are set back from street.

  My husband and I stayed here for the first time with our 2dogs. Our room was pet friendly room, very clean, no pet odor, no bedbugs, no urine stains on carpets. There’s an area for dogs to run & play also areas you can BBQ.
  Very satisfied with our stay! We will go back for sure!

  Great Dog Hotel

  We stayed here because BringFido gave it a great review. We were bringing our Lab puppy for her first trip and it went very well, in part because of Vagabond. The room was clean and roomy, there was space for her crate and stuff. There is a beautiful grassy “yard” especially for dogs and people to relax. The property is in a Western theme and really cute. I would stay here again, plus they have a program where you stay 9 nights you get the 10th night free.

  Nice place to stay

  There are plenty of places to eat nearby including a Denny's on site. Dogs are welcome with no limit on size. There is a BBQ area and place to sit. The pool area is under renovation but that just means an improvement for the future. The rates are reasonable and there is a nice dog park within walking distance.
