Visitors find the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Eugene to be generally well-reviewed, with friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and a great location near a large park. - KatieFeb 24, 2024Friendly staff
Comfortable room for my little dog and I. We were on the second floor. Stayed at end of February and this time the trains and geese were exceptionally loud. Didn’t notice the other 3 times we stayed but maybe it’s a seasonal thing since I had only stayed in the summertime before. Clean room, comfortable bed.
- TimFeb 20, 2024Location good
Good grassy walking area, easily accessed from hallway. Multiple parks in walking distance, as well as McMenamin's Pub & Rye restaurant. Breakfast room has substantial options, but gets crowded. Easy parking.
- JohnAug 20, 2023Excellent location
The staff were very friendly. The room was large. Great service. Great location next to a large park.
- EdwardJul 21, 2023Adjacent to Alton Baker Park
The La Quinta is nicer than many of the dog friendly hotels that we have used. Also very close to downtown Eugene.
- JeanJul 14, 2023Our second visit to a great hotel
Car trouble caused us to unexpectedly spend the night in Eugene. We had stayed at this hotel before, so booking it through BringFido was a no brainer. The hotel is right across from a large and interesting park that has a very nice off-leash dog park. Also there are walking trails along the Willamette River leading from this park, with beautiful views of the river and lots for our dog to sniff. The desk clerk at check-in was very dog friendly. We got a king sized bed. The shower was great. The pool is open 24 hours/day and was fun to swim in early in the am. They serve a good free breakfast. We will absolutely stay here again if our travels take us to Eugene.
- RebeccaApr 8, 2023Excellent!
Fabulous experience from start to finish. Check-in was a breeze with friendly staff and a treat for our dog. The room was large and comfortable. We didn’t use it but the hotel has a pool, jacuzzi and laundry. Free parking. Great breakfast in the morning. Best of all, next to Alton Baker Park and a fabulous dog park is a 5 min drive/15 min walk from the hotel. We will definitely stay here again!
- BrendaOct 30, 2022We won't be back
The room was what we have experienced many times on our travels with our dog. It had that unpleasant odor with too much air freshener that made you think they are trying to cover up a bad smell. We wouldn't get in the shower as there was lots of mold in the grout. I took pictures. One good thing was the beds -they were quite comfortable.
- BarbaraOct 2, 2022Roxy’s Adventure
Great location to visit University of Oregon. Close to a running/walking trail.
- RalphSep 4, 2022Good value
I would definitely stay here again. The dog was welcomed with no problem, and had a nice relief area near the parking lot. I wish that the floors were hard instead of carpet, but it's not a deal breaker. 24 hour pool was nice, breakfast was available. The staff was friendly.
- JoeAug 22, 2022Good folks
Good room.
- KathrynAug 21, 2022Great accommodations
Our dogs are full of barks and tail wags of happiness from our short overnight at la Quinta. Just a gentle bit of information and request to fix the shower leak. Someone knows it's leaking because it was cranked down so hard I thought I wasn't going to be able to turn it on. Otherwise, a very clean, comfortable place to stay with our pets.
- KristenAug 8, 2022Park Nearby!
The hotel itself was quiet, clean, and inviting. It's located next to a park with a lot of trails and a river nearby. There's a large dog park down the trails about 15-20 minute walk away as well! Great location!
- JeffAug 5, 2022Great Location near a Park
We always stay at this La Quinta when we are in Eugene. It is next to a giant park and river that my dogs love.
- DenaAug 5, 2022Nice location
La Quinta in Eugene was a great location for dog owners right next to Alton Baker Park. Hotel was nice. Staff was a bit stressed out and curt at check in. Pool wasn't functioning and the parking was very limited. I traveled with my adult child driving my car and I drove her U-haul and we were only allowed to park one vehicle. There was no mention on booking of the one-vehicle allowance and the desk staff did not give us any recommendations on possible alternative. I drove my car quite a distance away to find a garage to park it, had to Uber back to the hotel and then back to the car the next morning at quite a cost. When I woke up in the morning there was a pick up truck taking 2 parking spots and 6 or 7 empty spaces in the hotel lot. I was in the middle of a 2000 mile moving trip and this was a pain in the butt.
- PatriciaJul 30, 2022Great location by the river and park!
Perfect for dog walking!
- ThadJul 30, 2022Quiet, with great habitat settings
Dog treats at door. Very quiet. Great wildland setting with wonderful park. And the staff to accommodate a trailer combo the site is not setup for. We will be back.
- SusanJun 5, 2022Great for dogs
Very welcoming for dogs. Parking can be a bit of a challenge.
- BharatMay 13, 2022It is okay
Needs more cleanliness.
- RaquelApr 18, 2022Nice hotel
The hotel was nice and the room was spacious.
- CarolynApr 17, 2022One of the best La Quintas!
This location was excellent - beautiful lobby with elk horn chandelier, larger rooms, updated decor, enhanced breakfast options, even a small underground garage. Biscuits for the pups too! There's a river and lovely park right outside. Only downside, no eateries are in walking distance, and finding it is a bit tricky - get your GPS ready.
- NancyFeb 21, 2022What a lovely surprise!
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this room for the price. Very clean ( without the nasty bleach smell) and such friendly staff. We stayed in a King Suite and it was really comfortable. I couldn’t more highly recommend it.
- EdwardFeb 3, 2022Amazing location for big dogs
Every review mentioning the river walk next to the hotel and great park across the street is accurate. What a great place to stretch all 6 of our legs after a long drive.
- TasharaDec 30, 2021Amazing and accommodating
We came through after an 8 hour drive with no plans and decided to stay in Eugene. Called 4 hotels and this place was the only one with no problem with our pup! Great stay and very close to plenty of parks. Very happy!
- ArdiceDec 23, 2021No pet fee and clean rooms
We loved that La Quinta does not charge a fee for pets! The rooms were clean and not as outdated as I expected. We will definitely stay here if passing through for the night again.
- AndrewDec 14, 2021Easy access
Room was clean, people were nice and helpful. Price was fair for location, size and quality. Thank you.
- CassieNov 7, 2021Loud
We heard every single sound of people walking by, showers, toilets, banging, etc.
- RexanneOct 19, 2021Great location 👍🏽
Comfortable rooms with park and river nearby. Doggie pick up bags and disposal on site. Evening manager Nicole helped us out a lot. The day desk gal was really stoned and was even vaping just outside the front door when we arrived. We will be back as it was a 90% experience.
- MargotAug 7, 2021Good location for the pup and easy access
Decent spacious room, friendly service, near park and walkway along a creek to stretch out legs. The internet access was spotty for me but the pup didn't mind.
- MagdalenaAug 1, 2021Recommend
Check in was quick and easy, staff very friendly, room spacious (regular king bed room) and very clean. Location is great-right across from beautiful park. Very dog friendly hotel and area. Would stay again.
- ElizabethJul 31, 2021Great spot across from park
Clean, nice hotel. Right across form Alton Baker park so great place to take your pup. I would definitely recommend.
- MarkJul 26, 2021Great Place
Very nice hotel! Large park just across the street, great location.
- StevenJul 25, 2021Fun place next to a great park!
Very quiet. No hassle checking in. It’s next to a great park for dog walks.
- ChristineJul 1, 2021Great location
Nice hotel that’s right across the street from an amazing park. Very clean rooms and friendly staff.
- KirstenJun 6, 2021Hidden Gem
This hotel is tucked away--Google Maps misled me to get there. But it's next to a big creek with geese, goslings, ducks, ducklings, a heron, and folks fishing and catching trout! (There won't always be ducklings: seasonal...) There's a fabulous park across the street, too, and the creek empties into the Willamette River there. The hotel was comfy with a huge room. My dogs, all three, were welcome.
- La DonnaMay 14, 2021Great location great stay!
Everything about our stay here was perfect for us and our dog. The hotel is by the river and we took our dog for a great walk evening and in the A.M. the staff was super friendly and kind. The room was awesome and the bed super comfortable.
- KatherineMay 9, 2021Great location!
Great location! The city park next-door has a nice dog park if you drive down into the park a bit. My only complaint is that the parking lot is pretty full.
- KristinaApr 28, 2021Great stop for all our pets!
We travel with all of our beloved pets, which includes 1 Shiba Inu and three mid sized cats. All were quite comfortable and very welcome! There is even a park right next to the hotel with doggie pick up bags provided. A very nice bonus!
- KristopherApr 26, 2021Ok rooms, good location
The location at the park is great. The interior needs an update and the staff has mentally checked out. There are definitely nicer properties in the general area for the same price.
- LyndaApr 12, 2021Great Location!
The hotel was lovely, clean, quiet and friendly. There was a great park and walking area just steps from the hotel. There was a well appointment "snack room". The only thing was, there was no where to eat in our room other than sitting on the bed. At this time, with having to take food out, it would have been nice to have had a table.
- KalaApr 6, 2021Terrible parking
We arrived late, due to the timing the front doors were locked unless you had a key, which I understand, great safety step but if the front desk person isn't at the front desk to unlock the door!!! Front desk person was very distracted through the entire check in process. Required to fill out a vehicle info form for parking (again not a single parking spot), I tell her I will be right back because I need to go outside to get my license plate#, literally 5 seconds, I stand back at the locked front doors waiting for her to let me back in, she is nowhere to be found, stood there for probably 4-5 minutes until she came around the corner and said "Oh yeah" . Completed vehicle form, informed her there was no parking anywhere she came outside and pointed to a spot next to some pushes, defiantly not a parking spot, and said that will be fine. So I got to worry all night if my car was going to be towed or not.
But the room was clean so two stars. - MartiMar 6, 2021Happy Hounds
Hotel adjacent to a lovely pastoral park. Facilities are comfortable and clean in every way.
- ElenaFeb 25, 2021Nice park across the street
The hotel was good and definitely used to having pets around. But the best part was the big park across the street. My dog loved it! Nice walking paths so you could go on a longer walk if needed. There is also an off-leash area that is fenced in. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Eugene.
- AshleyFeb 24, 2021good location
easy check in. parking garage but come early as there only a few spots available. room was decent and clean
- NancyJan 23, 2021Safe, clean and kind
What more could you ask for?
- ColleenJan 6, 2021Always great
Never disappointed. Clean, friendly and great location.
- CarolynNov 22, 2020Great location near park
Nice place to stay with your dog. Big rooms, reasonably quiet and wonderful park across the street!
- JulieSep 30, 2020Awesome location!
La Quinta has not disappointed us since we began staying with our dogs a few years ago. I think they are a great stop for pet lovers and their parents. There is a huge park right across the street with a really nice, big dog park.
Also, the beds are super comfortable and I think it’s clean, safe and close to all the good things in Eugene. - ToniSep 15, 2020Great place to stay
People and dog friendly! Plenty of grass for dog business. Our 2nd time staying here, this one during the pandemic. Room was beyond clean and every accommodation was made for safety. Will stay again!
- CaseySep 2, 2020Nice rooms!
Clean, good views, and nearby a park.
- BethanyAug 19, 2020La Quinta quality as expected; Not so pet-friendly
Very little room to roam or to go to the bathroom...One little spot for MANY dogs. Also, not a first room floor so convenience (or should I say, Inconvenience) was a factor.
- ChristopherAug 17, 2020Easy, empty, free coffee
Gary enjoyed the nearby park!
- DarrinJul 29, 2020Great for dogs but people.
Huge park right next to Inn for dogs to run around. Parking lot was full and not made for even small cars. The room was also small and noisy.
- NormaJul 25, 2020Great service
Very clean.
- VeronicaJun 27, 2020Great Location
This was a perfect place to stay with our dog as the park immediately adjacent was so nice to walk the dog as it was beautiful and very large! The staff (which seemed to just be one woman) was very sweet and helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel with our pup again!
- JillJun 21, 2020Great location
Clean, convenient and very accommodating. Front desk was extremely nice! The paths and trails to the park make it an amazing location for walking/running the doggies. We enjoyed our stay.
- MarlaApr 19, 2020Those heavenly beds
I am rarely disappointed by La Quinta Inn and Suites in the Eugene Oregon location is no exception. From the welcoming front desk man To those luxurious beds, it was the perfect ending to a super busy day moving out of my house. Location is really beautiful as well right next to a lake. But I found out in the morning when I had walked my dogs the previous evening in the dark I was walking them right past a homeless man’s tent and another person living in a vehicle at the adjacent property. That was a little scary.
- SheriMar 19, 2020Great Hotel
During Covid19 staff was clean and sanitizing all pens etc. Rooms were confortable and clean. There was no pet fee. Laundry was handy and machines worked well.
- SherriMar 16, 2020Cat Friendly
One of the few places that accept cats, for which we're most grateful. Always a pleasure to stay at La Quinta. Thx.
- TammieFeb 22, 2020Great location
Great hikes and dog friendly restaurants walking distance from hotel
- AngelaDec 31, 2019Dog friendly
Nice hotel. Very helpful staff. Clean. Good breakfast. Dog friendly.
- RonaldNov 26, 2019Fred Basset Loved His Stay
This hotel is a great place to stay with your dog. Spacious, comfortable and clean room with microwave and refrigerator. Very good hot breakfast. Very dog friendly with lots of adjacent park-like areas for dog walking. Great hotel amenities; great value! Fred Basset will definitely stay again the next time he is in Eugene.
- BarbOct 9, 2019Great location
It was fine, plenty of room for 8lb yorkie and us!
- ShannonSep 10, 2019Great location!
Recently upgraded rooms. Good accommodations. Super dog friendly! The location is perfect! There’s a dog relief area and a large park across the street on the Williamette River. We’ve stayed in this hotel with our large 3 dogs 6 times now.
- TraciSep 10, 2019Good location
This hotel was pretty good for the dogs. We stayed one night en-route to AZ from WA and the rooms were decent and there is a park across the way to walk the dogs. Breakfast was nice as well.
- MargoloJan 6, 2019Highly Recommend !
We are a family of four plus our dog and this was our first time traveling with dog. This La Quinta worked great for us and twice during the trip we’re able to make last minute reservations. What stood out was the friendly staff and the amazing off leash fenced in dog park ( “ Aston Baker” huge) within a 15-20 minute walk from hotel, plus a decent grassy area right outside the hotel. Clean room, good breakfast. Indoor pool but hot tub out of order. The staff are even kindly sending us a beloved stuffed animal my daughter accidentally left in the room ( buried in the sheets)
