Extremely pet friendly, big rooms, very professional staff.
- LisaOct 5, 2023Old hotel
The room smelled. Customer service were not very helpful.
- DebraOct 4, 2023Great service and food!
Nice hotel and very accommodating.
- SusanSep 10, 2023Great for an overnight
Friendly, clean, very courteous service. Also, excellent food in the restaurant.
- MichaelJul 28, 2023Tybee
Very nice property. Nice dog park area. Price increased after making reservation.
- SandraDec 6, 2022Great place to stay in Nashville
Clean, spacious room and very helpful staff made this a great place to stop for me and my fur baby.
- GregNov 27, 2022Upscale but dog friendly
This hotel has a social lobby, several restaurants, outdoor pool and a fenced dog park! It is slightly awkward in that pets must transit lobby to go outside. I was expecting my dogs to be freaked out by the elevator, but they had the entire routine down pat right away. Very spacious rooms; well decorated; good food at the restaurants.
- JodieNov 9, 2022Solid experience
Pets are clearly welcomed in this cute, updated but still slightly worn hotel.
- PhilNov 8, 2022Nice and dog friendly
Staff were welcoming of our husky. Small area out back is their dog park. Had noisy neighbors who seemingly went out to the bars and returned around midnight, but it IS Nashville.
- CeceNov 1, 2022Great hotel
This hotel is very nice and in a great spot off the highway. Everyone was friendly and had dog toys/treats for free at the desk. The downstairs restaurant is AMAZING and reasonably priced. It felt very party like of a hotel but it was still nice and quiet. The elevators are activated by your key card so that’s great for security. My only issue was the dog park was in a dark area which didn’t make me feel safe and there wasn’t grassy areas around the building, only dirt and no one picked up their poop. There is a $16 resort fee and a refundable deposit of $50; the dog fee is $30 and they took in my three dogs with no problems. The rooms were big but my bathroom definitely needed a remodel as the grout had black mold all in the shower.
- CherylOct 12, 2022Great place!
I absolutely loved that they had a separate gated dog park. It made my life a lot easier.
- MissyOct 7, 2022Everyone was very friendly
Room was clean.
- ErinOct 4, 2022Great location, worth the splurge!
I loved my stay at this hotel. The room was large and spacious, the TV was massive, and that king sized bed hit different after seven and a half hours on the road. The staff at the front desk were friendly, and despite some issues with the elevator in going up and down with my stuff, the stay overall was worth the money paid for it. My tiny dog got to claim a corner of the bed to sleep on, and we were safe & comfortable! Would stay again if we are ever back in the area.
- JynAug 30, 2022They really mean dog friendly!
The staff is so accommodating. We received a free dog toy and the room was set up with a really nice dog bed and water/food bowels. My only complaint was the room wasn’t very soundproof which could be an issue if your pup gets worked up easily.
- NancyAug 8, 2022Great for doggie! But curtains/shades were not working. Otherwise great.
Also extra $10 fee for amenities was not disclosed online and should have been included in pet fee.
- MaraAug 2, 2022Friendly and Attentive!
Staff was very friendly and attentive upon arrival. Free treat for the pup.
- BenAug 1, 2022Easy to book!
Dogs loved it, rooms were big!
- DeniseJun 30, 2022Hotel Preston is Awesome
This hotel is affordable, accommodating and convenient to all Nashville attractions. We stayed two nights and I didn’t want to leave. There is a nice dog park behind the pool and several walking areas for pets. The pool is lovely. There is a restaurant and bar on site. Parking is free. The staff was wonderful! I will definitely return when in the area and highly recommend it to my friends and family.
- KaleighJun 16, 2022Better customer service from a robot
We went to Nashville to pick up our new puppy, and didn’t want to get right back on a plane the same day so we looked into pet friendly hotels to spend the night. We didn’t need anything fancy, but some basic hospitality and customer service would have been nice. Our flight was early so we got there before check-in. We texted the virtual concierge “Paige” to make sure it was okay for us to leave our luggage there while we went downtown to wait for the check-in. “Paige” was polite and helpful (it honestly felt like talking to an actual person). I wish I could say the same about the staff at the front desk.
We had to ask the same questions multiple times to get an actual answer (and the answers were always rude and snappy) and they were extremely impatient with us as we tried to fill out their paperwork while managing our luggage and new puppy. They ended up letting us check-in early which we appreciated since we were exhausted after our flight, but we were sent to two different rooms that were having their AC units worked on with tools left all over the sweltering hot rooms.
The room we finally ended up in was fine. Not the cleanest by far but it was spacious and there was working AC (not that it made a dent in the 100°+ heat). The bathroom was in pretty rough shape though. The door was warped, the shower curtain ripped, and the bath mat stained. By the end we regretted not just getting an AirBnB, since it would have cost the same and we didn’t even end up needing the hotel to hold our luggage before/after check-in/out.
- KayceeJun 15, 2022Nice hotel
Very nice hotel and large room. Convenient location right off the highway. Also has plenty of chargers if you have an EV.
- EricaMay 28, 2022Plenty of grassy areas
Unfortunately our dog wasn’t offered any of the “amenities” stated. Didn’t receive the dog bowls or treats. Our room and hotel floor was pretty run down also. There was plenty of grassy areas for our dog to roam. The “dog park” was very small. The ability to have plenty of space for him to walk around was perfect, but that’s all that was perfect.
- KristinApr 15, 2022No power
Electricity went out shortly after check in. No back up generator lighting. Dogs were scared and couldn’t see in the stairwells. Bathrooms were outdated. Shower looked terrible. Bed not very comfortable.
- LeylaMar 28, 2022Excellent hotel! Blue Dog approves!
I was a little nervous when I saw some reviews say there are a lot of fees, but then seeing how some people act, I see why. All of the rules are reasonable: dog must be crated when you leave your room, no excessive barking, take your dog outside to potty, clean up after your dog, etc. We had no issues, of course, Blue Dog is well trained and a perfect travel companion. There were no less than two instances I saw in my one night stay of people being less than reasonable with their dogs. One person had let their dog bark loudly non-stop for like 10 minutes…and this morning, after I did my 5am potty run with Blue, someone let their dog loudly run the hallways and poo near the elevators. Dog friendly does not mean free for all. If you want more hotels to be happy to see your dog, make sure your dog a good canine representative! Hotel was super clean, very cool! Food was amazing!!! Would stay again!
- Dan and LindaMar 2, 2022Good hotel
The outside could have been better for the dogs. There really wasn’t a designated place for them to go.
- JarrettFeb 26, 2022Quirky hotel, great for pets
A little beat up, but very cool vibe. Has a little area out front for pets. Clean rooms. Low pet fee, nice people, great bar, great food.
- PaulJan 8, 2022Disrepair
Door lock broken, toilet didn't flush properly, no toilet paper hanger, coffee maker had no pot. $25 charge for dog. No cups in the room, room heater cycled on/off every 60 seconds. No free breakfast. Motel 6 quality at Hyatt prices!
- KathleenOct 16, 2021Far from everything
This hotel was nice but it’s literally 5 to 6 miles to downtown and to any restaurant. The restaurant at the hotel has a limited menu. Dogs aren’t allowed downstairs except to come and go. I liked the 60s vibe it had. It’s a nice place if you want to be close to the airport.
- CynthiaSep 25, 2021Trash and dirty towels
Bed was comfortable and hotel had a convenient dining area for dinner and breakfast and food was good. The reason it doesn’t get five bones is that we were greeted with dirty towels on the floor and trash in the trash cans. I did tell the agent at the front desk and they offered to move us but we had just released our two cats in the room after a thirteen hour drive so we’re not going to try catch them. I would have appreciated them to offer to have housekeeping take care of the mess but this didn’t seem to be an option. We chose this hotel based on other comments that it was a clean hotel, so this was disappointing.
- ChrisaSep 23, 2021This place was perfect!
This place was exactly as it was described, clean and beautiful! Thanks.
- MarkSep 22, 2021Dump that smells
Tired from traveling otherwise I would go anywhere else.
- PamelaSep 20, 2021Hotel Preston Nashville
Great stay, easy access, friendly staff, clean rooms. Only stayed one night, passing through area so did not get to enjoy the amenities - maybe next time.
- MayraAug 30, 2021Nashville
Good.
- BillyJul 30, 2021Very Dog Friendly
Made a last minute reservation to Hotel Preston and was pleasantly surprised to see lots of other dogs staying, too. There are grassy relief areas next to the car park and a dog park on the premises.
- PennyJul 23, 2021Lovely stay!
Friendly staff and great room. Everything was clean and updated. Only stayed for one night as we were traveling but had a great experience. There is a small fenced in “dog park” area for pets to potty.
- MakanaJun 27, 2021Amazing stay with a bonus dog park!
We stayed here with our french bulldog, Lilo, and loved it! It was super quiet and clean. The staff was absolutely lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The check in/check out process was quick and easy.
One of the best parts of the hotel was the small dog park which was right next to the pool! It was clean and well-kept.
Loved the art on the lower level and in the lounge area. We will definitely stay here again as it was close to Downtown and one of the most dog-friendly hotels in Nashville. - LisaJun 23, 2021Great stay
We had a wonderful 2 night stay here during a long road trip. Our room was spacious and comfy. Bed was just right with plenty of pillows. I really liked the pink blanket too! It also had a great view!! We LOVED that there is a small off-leash dog park. It's not fancy, but it's well fenced and plenty of room for a few dogs to get a bit of the wiggles out. There is some shade, a bench, and a waste station. We did try to spend some time with our dogs in the pool area (not letting them in the water) first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, when others wanted to use the pool, we were asked to leave. I understand that rule but would sure love to have used the pool and bar all day! Since you cannot leave the dogs in the room alone, that was not an option. Carrie at the bar was a delight. Have her make you an old-fashioned her way!
Highly recommend for dog lovers. - MarcyJun 5, 2021NOT very dog friendly
Although this hotel states they are dog friendly they are not really. They do allow you to bring in dogs for an extra fee, but they have so many rules. We were told that if our dog barked in our room we would be responsible for a big fee. You cannot leave your dog alone in the room. I called ahead of time and none of these rules were told to me. Ruined our vacation. Rooms are just ok, pool is disgustingly cloudy with way too many leaves inside. Since you can’t leave your dog in the hotel room alone or bring them onto the pool deck, you might not get use out of this amenity.
- IgorMay 1, 2021Fees fees fees
A 121 dollar “liability” charge that has yet to be returned despite zero damage to the room. Then a 30 dollar fee when i checked out. On top of the pet fees and room charge this middling hotel is not worth it
- SarahApr 27, 2021Average hotel made great because it's dog friendly
Accommodations were average, you get what you pay for. It was wonderful we were able to stay there with our black lab. The doggie area out back is small - but it's all you need. It's fenced in and a place they can relieve themselves. I did read a review that the back door is chained and locked at night - and that was the case for us too. I wanted to let Missy out at around 7:30 AM and it was still locked - I just had to go back around to the front door and then walk to the back from outside. We had dinner at the bar and the bartender was friendly.
- MeaghanApr 19, 2021Triangle dog park
For a new renovation.... the bathroom was old and moldy. It was loud at 11:20 pm, and made my dogs bark. They state they have a dog park, but it is really a small triangle piece of land, that was lacking dog bags, and lots of poop.
- JennipherMar 30, 2021Lovely accommodations
Hotel Preston was very accommodating. We got special permission to bring 3 dogs and was not disappointed. The room was amazing and the staff super helpful. Great location to pet friendly restaurants.
- KristenMar 14, 2021Horrible
ZERO BONES Upon entering the hotel, the smell of marijuana was off the charts strong (try explaining that to your child). We booked a corner suite...which was suppose to have a couch (it did not); the bathroom door was rotted, the tub would not drain - clogged with long black hair which later surfaced WHILE my daughter was showering. And the icing on the cake?!!! BED BUGS on the rollaway that was brought to our room. We did not spend the night! I packed up my pups and family at 11:00 and went elsewhere
- JoeMar 10, 2021Best pet hotel experience ever!
$20 pet fee. Room was incredible -- really nice, really clean, really comfortable bed; just fantastic hotel in every way; and they were so nice to my pooch!
- KimberlyMar 4, 2021Good for price
Rooms were huge and bed was comfortable. I appreciate them having the fenced in area for the dig however the door to the lower level area by the dog park doesn’t have normal security features (ie: it’s not like most upgraded hotel exterior doors where it can lock and use room key to enter) and the reason that’s important is that the chain the door then at night from the inside and apparently don’t undo the chain until ?? ~ my dog needed to go out at 6:30 am the next morning and we couldn’t even get out to the dog area Bc the door was still chained. They also do not have enough bell stand luggage carts. It was pouring rain when I arrived (solo with my dog) and as you can imagine, it’s hard enough to travel solo with a dog and try to bring in bags/unload luggage but there was no assistance to help and when I asked for the luggage cart they front desk guy kind of just shrugged and said “if you don’t see either of them over there, then they must be in use”. For a hotel of this size they should surely have more than 2 carts and furthermore the front desk staff should be more helpful (woman at the front desk who was helping another guest seemed much more friendly and helpful).
- TracyFeb 13, 2021overpriced...
not what we expected....
- AshleyJan 26, 2021Great place
We enjoyed our stay here. Great place for those with dogs as well. Quiet, safe, clean, and secure. Front desk staff were so nice! Definitely recommend and would stay here again!
- BrendaJan 25, 2021Great!
Hotel rooms are clean and spacious. There is ample green space and lighting to walk your dog as well as a small dog yard where dogs can be off leash. Overall, great experience.
- IreneJan 10, 2021Close to airport
Roomy and comfy and clean
- SamanthaJan 2, 2021Small dog park area on site
Friendly staff, nice spacious room. They put us on 2nd floor so a short elevator ride to lower lobby and dog area was easily accessible.
- AlexDec 24, 2020Good deal. Cheap dog fee.
The hotel is fairly basic. The lobby is nice and new, but the rooms are as expected for a 3 star hotel.
The dog fee was only $25–cheapest of anywhere I’ve ever found. All the Hilton properties are $75 at least.
Had a good stay.
Love how dog friendly they are - JenFeb 12, 2020Definitely Will Stay Again
We will stay here every time we go to Nashville from now on. The staff fully welcomed our Lab and even sent up a VIP package just for him with dog bowls and a nice doggy bed. Not to mention the hotel itself is super nice, room was very large and clean. There was even a nice dog park on property behind the pool. Highly recommend this hotel. Great experience!
- JesFeb 6, 2020Red Carpet For pooches
WOW! Excellent. Dog friendly. Pup welcome included goodies waiting in their room. Fenced dog play area. Very clean and friendly. The hotel is awesome for humans too. Loved it. I’ll be back!
- RyanJan 20, 2020Super Pet Friendly!
This place was great! Staff was very friendly and welcoming to our dog. There’s a separate fenced area dedicated just for your pets with complimentary poop bags. The room (deluxe king) was very spacious and room service menu was excellent. Highly recommended!
- EileenMore than a year agoNice Hotel
This is a lovely hotel conveniently located near the Grand Ole Oprey. It is about a 20 minute ride to downtown Nashville where parking fees are exorbitant. The rooms are large and very comfortable and clean. Lots of free parking and some grass area for walks. The only drawback is if you are passing through and want to get out early in the morning, the service in the restaurant is VERY slow, there is no frig in the room and no restaurants nearby to catch a quick breakfast. They are very dog friendly here.
