Amazing everytime
Candlewood Suites El Paso North an IHG HotelMy third time staying here, I have stayed here once a year for the past three years. It hasn’t ever not been amazing. It is always so clean, beautiful and friendly. Close to the highway, food places, Walmart, gas stations. I would not pass up the opportunity to stay here.
Amazingly clean
Sonesta Select Nashville Airport SuitesLet me start by saying this hotel was the cleanest dog hotel I have ever stayed at. The carpet didn’t smell or have stains, the room didn’t smell like dog odors, towels/bedding were clean and bed bug/flea free. The dog pet area was clean and free of poop which never happens, trash was empty and bags were there! Tons of surrounding areas for dogs to go. Close to food, off the highway and other hotels. The staff was friendly and they allowed my three small dogs with open arms. The indoor pool was nice and open.
Some cons were like other reviews the elevator is small and extremely slow, this was a very busy hotel with about 15 people waiting to use the elevator with luggage as this is close to the airport. We used the stairs and it really wasn’t an issue. The internet didn’t work while we were there. The pillows were flat, the hot water took about 5 minutes before it became hotter than lukewarm. They didn’t have shampoo in the room (if you use theirs). The parking lot is also kind of narrow and small so wasn’t really ideal for our trailer we were hauling. All and all, my family and dogs would most definitely stay here again.
Could be better
La Quinta by Wyndham Fort Worth City ViewLet me start by saying the outside looked promising. It is very close to a lot of food, stores and somewhat off the highway. The lobby and halls smelled amazing. They accepted 3 dogs no problems. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. However, I would choose a different place to stay if you have been driving all day and just want a hot shower and sleep.
Our first issue we ran into, we were given keys to someone else’s room. Can you imagine 10pm at night walking into someone’s room with 3 dogs and a toddler? It was horrible. We got rooms changed and were now on the 3rd floor. Our room looked directly at guitars and Cadillacs that is open til 2am and after 2am the party didn’t stop and continued to the parking lot with screaming, racing and honking until about 3am. The blinds didn’t meet the wall all the way, so the lights from this place shinned through the whole night. The walls were very paper thin so I was worried about my toddler disturbing others as well as us being disturbed. The shower was lukewarm at best, only two holes in the shower head sprayed out hot water. The pillows were extremely firm. The comforter had a red stain on it.
The positives: staff was friendly, room didn’t smell like dog, it was clean and spacious for the most part. Parking lot was big enough for a trailer. Plenty of dog areas to use.
If you are desperate…
Quality InnListen, this is a great hotel if you have been traveling for 16 hours and you just desperately need a shower and sleep. The bed wasn’t as comfortable as most hotels, they felt very firm and springy. The pet rooms are on the first floor which are also smoking rooms and trust me they will for sure smell like stale cigarettes. The A/c worked amazingly though. The carpet, bedding, towels and overall room seemed cleaned and smelt like the typical hotel bleach. The front desk guy was fine and got us checked in quickly. They accepted our 3 dogs at $30 a piece on top of a $95 room, price seemed steep compared to the quality of the room. Its right off the highway and close to a couple of things. It’s a super plus that you can park right outside your room after a long day. plenty of grassy areas. like I said if you are desperate great place, but if you have time look on.
Doesn’t hurt to look for a better place
My Place Hotel - MidlandThe pros of this hotel are great location. Its right off the highway with Walmart, cheap gas and McDonald’s all within walking distance. door dash works here. Good areas for doggy bathrooms. seemed like a safe area. front desk lady was so kind. Comes with a huge fridge that makes ice, big room trash cans, quiet inside. room was a nice size and bathroom seemed updated, the beds were nice and comfy with great pillows.
Cons of the hotel are cleanliness. There are so doggy trash/bag stations but regular trash cans. All of our towels were dirty dingy and some with visible make up stains. They also didn’t smell like the typical hotel bleach towels, they smelled stale. There were huge stains of red on the carpet, sticky stuff I couldn’t get up off the bathroom floor. The room also seemed infested with moths maybe coming in front the A/c, we killed over 5 and counting.
overall we only needed a room for a handful of hours and it was already midnight when we checked in. if I had to do it over, I would pick a different hotel.
Great hotel
Hotel Preston Nashville AirportThis hotel is very nice and in a great spot off the highway. Everyone was friendly and had dog toys/treats for free at the desk. The downstairs restaurant is AMAZING and reasonably priced. It felt very party like of a hotel but it was still nice and quiet. The elevators are activated by your key card so that’s great for security. My only issue was the dog park was in a dark area which didn’t make me feel safe and there wasn’t grassy areas around the building, only dirt and no one picked up their poop. There is a $16 resort fee and a refundable deposit of $50; the dog fee is $30 and they took in my three dogs with no problems. The rooms were big but my bathroom definitely needed a remodel as the grout had black mold all in the shower.
AMAZING hotel but not safe
La Quinta by Wyndham Fort Worth EastchaseThis hotel was built in 2013, it smells amazing and clean. There is tons of grass areas for pets and the rooms are big and new. Breakfast was amazing and good. It’s close to a ton of places like Sam's Club, Walmart, and Door Dash works here. It’s also right off the highway. My only issue was people were loitering in the parking lot and smoking weed; the guys would not leave me alone as I was trying to walk my dogs in the dark. I had to go get my weapon and my family to come out with me. I felt super unsafe and I wanted to leave. In the morning they were still there doing the same stuff after they destroyed the parking lot with trash. I don’t know if this is a one time thing but I wouldn’t stay there for this reason alone.
Great
Home2 Suites by Hilton Youngstown West/AustintownGreat location to the highway. I stayed with my three stalls dogs and had no issues. They had lots of grassy areas with poop bags easily accessible. The only draw back is they don’t have any back or side entrances only front entrance which is not convenient to many rooms. The room we stayed in smelled fine but my parents stayed in another and it smelled strongly of pet urine. Right next to a gas station and Cracker Barrel. Also they offer military discount!
AMAZING
Hyatt Place Chantilly Dulles Airport-SouthPros: right off the highway, clean, tons of grassy areas, allowed my three small dogs with no issues
all within walking distance to a gas station, Texas Roadhouse and tons of other eateries and a nail salon. Shopping centers are also in quick driving distance. Has nice 24/7 restaurant, has Starbucks coffee. Rooms are pretty big with most having a separate seating area. Cons: a little pricey and doesn’t offer poop bags. The whole hotel smelled of strong weed. Tub was rusty and super loud. Found trash and someone’s glasses on the side of the couch.
You get what you pay for
First Choice Inns at the SwellPros: very convenient to the highway, huge grassy area for your pets, comfortable bedding, friendly front desk, close to food and gas stations, very safe town even though it looks run down. Cons: smelled like dog pee, hair was in shower tub, hair was on the towels, breakfast was lacking in food, pool is only open 5pm to 11pm.
Very nice
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lexington an IHG HotelPros: very close to the highway, very friendly, very clean, very accommodating, great breakfast, great pet area relief, close to food and gas station. Safe area (I’m a woman with my baby) and they allowed my three dogs. Cons: the a/c was VERY smelly, the hotel hallways were kinda loud.
Good for passing through
Comfort Inn Fountain Hills - ScottsdaleHotel is okay, gives off prison vibes. Shower is so tiny I kept bumping my arms into the walls. I had outside bugs in my room. Good thing is the ac is extra cold. Good spot to crash for a couple of hours. Definitely doesn’t clean up around the area though, tons of dog poop.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fort Worth - Lake WorthThis is a good hotel, if you just need a place to rest your head for a couple hours before getting back on the road. The room is pretty big but had a weird smell as did the rest of the hotel, the towels were all stained and dingy color, the bathroom tub had rust on the bottom, shower head and plug were covered in buildup. I felt more dirty after the shower than before the shower. However it is in a pretty good location for food, stores, gas stations and car wash. The outside looks pretty and I felt safe there. Breakfast was good, laundry room is cheaper than most ($1.25 for wash, $1.00 for dry) they had plenty of spots for potty area and clean up. My three dogs enjoyed their stay. Not bad but not perfect
Amazing attraction spot
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Pigeon Forge DollywoodThis hotel is in a great location for lots of activities such as the titanic, pirates voyage show and dinner, wax museum and much more. Close to food, gas stations and cvs. Hotel had a pretty good breakfast and has laundry unit for guest for $3.75 which was helpful as well. Only downfall is the doors to the rooms slam so if you or someone else has reactive dogs, you will hear barking constantly which sucks if traveling with newborn or if you are trying to catch up on sleep. The dog area is also filled with poop thanks to lazy dog owners but has plenty of areas to walk. Highly recommend for the location alone.
Great stay!
Home2 Suites by Hilton Jacksonville NCClean, did not smell like any animals. My three dogs enjoyed their stay. Not much of a grassy area for them to potty but definitely was doable. Amazing breakfast and close to Target, bank, Lowe’s, McDonald’s, Chick fil a.
Amazing
DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville BiltmoreThis hotel is in a great spot for local shops and eatery. The hotel is connected to T.G.I. Friday’s which was delicious. They have a hot breakfast for $15 and a Continental breakfast for $11. All the staff was friendly and helpful. They have a beautiful garden area, the pool and hot tub area were clean and fun! The hotel is very big. They do have small areas for doggy business. Everything was great however the room we got was damp, the floor and bed both felt wet and the shower had a constant drip. Would still stay here again.
