The Magic of Lemon.🪄🍋

This photo was taken at Charisma Clothing Boutique in St. Michaels, MD. Lemon is a trained diabetic alert dog who in an orderly fashion alerts her mum when her blood sugar drops. This sweet corgi was trained to detect the changes in her owner’s breath when her blood sugar declines. It takes a keen nose to detect a compound chemical called isoprene. Dogs like Lemon are in very limited supply. She also picks up on physiological behavior responses that are telltale signs of hypoglycemia. There’s no denying it, a dog is man’s best friend. It was a pleasure to treat Lemon to a biscuit for being such a valuable resource to mankind.🍖♥️🐶
