A heart’s pure-essence.

This photo was taken at Charisma Clothing Boutique in St. Michaels, MD. A customer purchased a pair of dragonfly earrings today, as she engaged in a 3-way conversation with her friend and myself. What she loved about the earrings was the symbolism of transition, as she was dealing with the loss of her father. Her story continued… she was accompanied by her two sisters to spread her father’s ashes. As they were fulfilling his wishes for his cremated remains to be spread at the location of his choice, a gust of wind whipped up. The sudden breeze dispersed a considerable amount of his ashes on their shoes and hands. The fine-ash remnants even found it’s way under their watches. In the end, they had fulfilled their responsibility and they dusted themselves off. The three sisters stared up at the blue sky and witnessed a single dragonfly floating above them. It hovered around the area momentarily before flying away. “I love that”, I said at the closing of her story and it lingered with me after my client had left the store. Then new customers entered and I was visited by their companion, a dog named Bella. My previous client’s reflection got me thinking about dogs and their significance. Perhaps, every time a dog graces you with their presence, they are a symbol sent by the universe showing you your nature of a loyal servant, through the time and attention you give freely to others.
