Dogs are welcome at a few outdoor tables at Bluerose Cafe in West Ashley. The Irish-American restaurant features homemade bread, hearty soups and stews, cakes, and pies. Bluerose Cafe serves omelets, pancakes, cinnamon-raisin French toast, Irish oatmeal, and scones. For lunch, salads, soups, and sandwiches are served. At dinner, Bluerose Cafe's menu includes crab cakes, baked brie, seafood sampler platter, fish and chips, and shepherd's pie. Bluerose Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch and is open from Monday through Wednesday from 7am until 3pm, Thursday through Saturday from 7am until 9pm, and Sunday from 9pm until 2pm.

The staff is welcoming and the food wonderful. The only downside is the patio is extremely small.
