Pets in the Cabin
Hop! allows pets to travel in the cabin on select flights, as long as the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 17 lbs (8 kg). Once on board, the carrier must be closed and placed at your feet throughout the flight. Each passenger is permitted to bring 1 pet in 1 carrier on board. The fees for this service are 30 EUR for a one-way ticket on flights within continental France and 55 EUR within the rest of Europe. This fee is charged at the airport.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Pets who exceed the maximum weight limit for transport in the cabin can travel in the hold instead. The combined weight of pets and carriers should not exceed 143 lbs (65 kg) to travel in the hold on ATRs, CRJs and Embraers aircraft and 165 lbs (75 kg) on Airbus aircraft. The fees for this service are 60 EUR for a one-way ticket within continental France and 100 EUR withing the rest of Europe. This amount is payable at the airport.
For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed combined dimensions of 45" (115 cm). For pets traveling in the hold, carriers must not exceed 40" x 26" x 30" (102 cm x 67 cm x 77 cm) on ATRs, CRJs and Embraers aircraft. On Airbus aircraft, the carrier must not exceed 48" H x 32" W x 35" D (122 cm x 82 cm x 89 cm). Additionally, they must have a fiberglass or rigid plastic “shell” with at least 2 door-closing systems.
Breeds of dog that are not allowed to travel are Staffordshire terriers (pit-bulls), Mastiffs (Boer-bulls), Tosas, guard or defense dogs, American Staffordshire terriers, Rottweilers, and dogs similar in morphology to Rottweilers. Snub-nosed dogs may be permitted to travel in the hold, but are not permitted in the cabin.
