Small pets under 22 lbs (10 kg) with a carrier are permitted to travel in the cabin with Satena. Each passenger is permitted to bring 1 pet on board. The fee for this service is 60,000 COP.

Pets who exceed the limitations to travel in the cabin may be transported as checked baggage with Satena. The maximum weight of a pet and carrier is 88 lbs (40 kg). Only 1 pet is permitted to travel in each carrier in the hold and each passenger is only allowed to travel with 1 carrier. 2 puppies of the same litter may travel in a carrier together if they do not exceed the weight limit. If the animal weighs more than the allotted baggage allowance, passengers will pay 9,000 COP per KG over.

For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 16" x 11" x 8" (40 cm x 28 cm x 20 cm). For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must be fiberglass with adequate ventilation. They must also be secure to avoid opening during transport. There must be at least 4" (10 cm) of space between the pet and the outside of their carrier.

Satena requires animals to travel without collars, ties, or anything else on their body. Dogs that are considered to be dangerous by Satena must always wear a muzzle.
