Entry Requirements
Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Uruguay with your pet:
- Obtain a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian in the country of origin that shows your pet is free of communicable diseases and has been vaccinated against rabies (for pets 3 months of age or older) at least 30 days before entering the country, and a maximum of one year before travel.
- Health certificates must include a full description of the pet and the owner's details as well as vaccine details for the following required vaccinations: rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and leptospirosis.
- Dogs must also be treated against Taenia Echinococcus (Hydatic Cyst) with an antiparasitic containing Praziquantelwithin a minimum period of 72 hours and a maximum of 30 days before arrival.
Quarantine Information
Pets traveling to Uruguay don't need to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
