Grand Canyon West Rim

The West Rim is beautiful but you cannot drive to the canyon. You can only drive to the parking lot and access the canyon by bus. That isn’t a big deal except dogs are not allowed on the bus. There are kennels on-site available for the day if you want to board them. The closest to the Canyon you can get with your dog in tow is the South Rim, which is about 4 hours from the West Rim. Needless to say, our day took a dramatically different turn once we found out that tidbit of information.
