Good place

Only complaint is that I had fairly explicitly asked for 2 twin beds, and we ended up with a king bed. I was too tired to ask if we could have another room.

Little Gem

Really happy. Self check-in when I arrived. Coffee and tea and a fenced yard. Tiled floor in room but with good grip - perfect for dogs on a wet muddy day to clean up after a walk.

No longer dog friendly

Was told on arrival that they no longer allow dogs on patio. Very disappointed, because we came here a lot the last couple of summers. Service and menu had been going downhill since 2021 and we won't be going there anymore. What a shame.

Great place close to Raccon Creek State Park

We went backpacking in Racoon Creek State Park and came out hungry enough to eat for two. Their porch was closed for the day, but when they saw the dog, they allowed us to sit outside. Food was solid, and portion sizes huge. I put it in my favorites and will be back next time we go for adventures in that park

Doesn't allow dogs while patio is under construction

I had picked my stay for a pet friendly hotel with pet friendly dinner. No dinner was had. I always feel truly dog friendly places could set up SOMETHING for dogs while doing patio construction in June.

Nasty and expensive if you book early

Booked for $150 per room and night through BringFido. While there, advertised rates were just over 1/3 of that. Room was noisy with drunk guests hanging out just in front of my window till 2am and early risers getting ready to leave at the crack of dawn and feeling it was time for everyone else to get up too. Phone didn't work. Floors were sticky. Bedding was clammy. Bathroom smelled like a public pool. Only dog friendly restaurant nearby did not accept dogs at all due to patio work. Starbucks for breakfast was super rude when I walked in to order; some sorry excuse for a breakfast to go with dog in tow because he was not allowed to stay alone in the room. I really don't know what I was thinking other than needing a place to stay with my dog.

Lovely place, super nice staff

Rooms were nice, staff was super-friendly. Single beds in this part of Germany in traditional hotels are twin-beds, so not much space if you're used to queen size and up. Room was carpeted, so no sound of claws and no slipping, but also risky if your pet leaks (mine didn't). No special dog trimmings (no dog blanket, dog-bowl, dog-treats), but I always have my own anyhow. For the breakfast buffet, I had placed Fido under the table, and told him to stay. He inched forward about half a foot a minute until he could fully see me. He was plainly no longer under the table and somewhat in the way. Everybody just laughed at it.

The food at the breakfast buffet was good but nothing special. When everybody is so nice, it doesn't matter. When we went to the rooms to pack prior to check-out, Fido followed my nephew to his room right next to mine, so I dropped the leash and thought fine, he'll go with him - but left my door open just in case and went into my room to grab something to return to my nephew prior to packing. When I came out, Fido was not in my nephews room. He said he had been running back to my room. Not Fido's style (he's normally clingy), but off we went in search of the dog. Staff pointed downstairs, so we went downstairs. First thought was the breakfast buffet, but nobody had seen a lose dog. Turns out he had stolen into the kitchen, and an employee with dog on leash appeared from that direction soon after. Everybody was laughing about it. I don't know if he stole anything from the kitchen. I tipped lavishly.

I can't say often enough how nice the staff was and made me feel like Fido was welcome. If I'd been without the dog, I might have trended towards 4 bones because I like my beds a bit larger and tiny issues with the breakfast buffet. Location and views are great, everything was clean, furniture was classy (not IKEA press-wood style). Bathroom was top-modern and very nice and had a tiled floor, so our water-bowl was not leaving wet spots on the carpet.
