Good overnight spot between flights
Sheraton Charlotte Airport HotelSheraton Charlotte Airport - is close to airport, has a shuttle you need to call before you exit the airport (pick up area has no cell/mobile service). There is lots of green space for pets to relieve themselves around hotel itself. Hotel is aging, but quite comfortable for the night. Staff were very friendly to Thor.

Try simple stay at Comfort Inn
Comfort Inn BarrieFirst room was smoke filled. Second room was musty. That being said, it was nice to have a sliding glass door to the outdoors (parking lot). The place must be suffering from understaffing. The gardens needed serious tending. The room was fine. The bathroom was very well appointed. Front desk was quite efficient, found me a new room asap.

Calgary, across from The Tower
Calgary Marriott Downtown HotelThis hotel was great for us. Starbucks is on the main floor, there are plenty of outdoor seating restaurants in close walking distance. We had a lovely room and bathroom which smelled fresh and clean on entry. They provided Thor with a bag of treats at our arrival - a bonus for certain. Across the street from the hotel were two patches of garden with chip- otherwise this location has no immediate green relief space. It is a quick walk to Olympic Park however where there are grass and trees and a large water feature..The front entryway to/from outside was a turning glass door - It took Thor a few tries to become comfortable with that. Overall a great place to stay.

Prestige Inn, Golden BC
Prestige Inn GoldenA convenient road side stop, this hotel would benefit from an upgrade. It seems "tired". The room we had needed to be ventilated - smelled musty. There is some grass nearby for walks. We broke up the long drive between Kelowna and Calgary, and this is an OK location...but it could be much more.

Close to the park
Hotel ZED KelownaWe stayed a few nights at Hotel ZED. It was colorful and our room had a great mini-kitchen and bathroom. The room needed a bit of a freshen up, but the location made up for it. Park and trails right across the street. Upstairs patio with a great view and comfortable seating areas. Around the corner from several restaurants with outdoor patios where Thor was welcome to join us. This is a good place to stay.
