Great for dogs!
Fireside MotelWe stayed one night on our way down the coast and it was so great for our pup that we booked a night for the return trip too. This is a very dog-friendly motel. There is a great Oceanside path to the beach where our dog could run. They have a heated hose outside to wash off the dog afterwards. They provide dog towels to dry off the dog and sheets to protect the furniture. The human accommodations are perfectly fine too. Mattress is comfortable, clean room. We will be back!

Great off-leash trails in Bellingham.
Dog Park at Lake Padden ParkWhen we arrived we were not impressed with the fenced-dog park but quickly discovered the amazing off-leash trails through the woods. We walked about 3 miles (loop) through wooded areas. Our dog raced through the woods jumping over logs and finding little muddy spots to enjoy. It’s a very hilly trail with trail maps posted intermittently. We also took her to the lake to wash all of the mud off. Public restrooms at the dog park parking lot. Highly recommend the trails!

Delicious beer and excellent food. Dog-friendly.
Aslan Brewing CompanyWe appreciate being able to bring our dog to this nice brewery. No dog bowls for water provided but we brought our travel bowl for our dog which worked fine. We sat outside at a picnic table. The food for the humans was excellent and enjoyed the beer as well.

Hotel BellwetherThis hotel is very dog friendly! The staff was very welcoming to our pup. Our room was ready with a welcome letter to our dog, a dog bed, 2 dog bowls, and dog treats!! Easy access to very nice paved trails around the Marina. Highly recommend this hotel.

Brewery with outdoor deck seating for dogs
Ferment Brewing CompanyVery dog friendly brewery with food. Dogs permitted on large outdoor deck on second floor with view over buildings to the Columbia River. Access to deck (and indoor restaurant) is by elevator. Seating options include picnic-style tables with low stools, low chairs around large fire pit, or tall stools with bench for food and drink. Grab any open spot. No table service, order and pickup at outdoor window. Bus your own table. Food is standard pub food (burgers, salmon burger, fried etc.) and good beer from the brewery. Bring your own dog bowl & other needs for your pet. Lots of pets, kids, groups. Very active space, noisy at times. Nice private bathrooms in the restaurant. The surrounding area has lots of grass along the river or behind the restaurant. Ample parking on street or behind in large parking lot. Playground along the walking trail by river.
