Marginally Acceptable
Super 8 by Wyndham NorfolkIf not for the friendly, accommodating staff, I would have rated this a 1. Location was bleak, amenities meager, and cleanliness marginally acceptable. Breakfast lacked variety as well as protein. Carbs and sugars. White breads and biscuits. No fruit nor oatmeal. Room windows could not be locked securely. Lots of men hanging in the parking lot, sitting on the ground at all hours. Uncomfortable. No handicapped smoking rooms at all, even though they say there are. Staff entered the room when we were gone even though we had pets and the Do Not Disturb sign up. Unfortunately, "pet friendly" accommodations are very hard to find in Norfolk. This place needs a lot to justify its prices. This is NOT a $90 motel.
